Stable, beautiful foamy-rocky head tops a deep apricot body and provides thick, clumpy lacing as it slowly subsides....muddy aromas of various hops, apricot and citrus and spruce qualities, by turns harsh - aromatic -fruity and woody, interesting and complex to be sure but too much a melange to really attract....fortunately it’s more palatable on the tongue, sweet and qutie malty at the front with a moderate bitterness from the get-go continuing on through new-woody groves and some lactic/milky character towards the finish....rather heavy and thick, with carbonation just a touch low. Mixed bag; quality ingredients and interesting concept make for a somewhat difficult quaff....once I realized that this was a slow sipper, I liked it more. hopdog (5552), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured a deep and slightly cloudy orange color with a larger sized off white head. Aromas of pine, caramel, some grapefruit and a little spicy. Tastes of grapefruit, caramel, floral, and very light spices. Nice hoppy presence with somewhat of a malty balance. Lots of lacing left on the glass. Oakes (8080), gone rambling, Vietnam
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 13, 2006 Slightly hazy dark amber colour. Fresh woodsy hop aroma with caramel and breadcrust malt. The body is a bit sticky, but gets creamier towards the finish. Rich hop bitterness is well-balanced by bready malts. Well-rounded. Lip-smacking hop finish. Pretty good fresh, but the way this hop character is, it will be probably be total crap in six months. Definitely enjoy this now! waolsen (1222), Littleton, Colorado, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 11, 2006 Bottle courtesy of Larry Pitonka: Pours a clear deep copper mahogany with a spotty-lacing, off-white, dense frothy plateau of a head. Big fresh grapefruity piney hoppy aroma explodes out of the bottle. Once it settles, more sweet toasty caramel malty notes are present. Body starts with a nice caramel malty sweetness with some toffee flavor hiding underneath a mound of fresh citrusy flavoring and bittering hops. Finishes crisp and bittersweet with dry lingering resinous pine notes. A very nice IPA. RooftopRogue (423), Champaign, Illinois, USA

Thick, off-white head that lasts to the bottom of the glass. Floral hop aromas, understated for what is about to hit you ... which is HUGE CITRUS AND RESINY HOP TASTES THAT LINGER FOR HOURS. Like chewing on a grapefuit rind. Body is actually pretty thin. jsquire (2100), St. Marys, Ohio, USA

Fresh hoppy nose; pine with honey sweetness. Lots of bready malts with grapefruit juice, apple sauce and pine flavors. Well balanced IPA that finishes with a grapefruit rind bitterness. Nice hop head beer. Thanks Andre.
