A hazy orange beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty and alcoholic, but also with notes of peaches tending to be over ripe. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of peaches, leading to a dry bitter finish. The body is surprisingly thin.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 omhper (17478) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 24, 2006
UPDATED: MAR 29, 2006 Bottled. Clear copper colour, average head. Rich citric grapefruit aroma. Dyish and completely dominated by juicy hops. The maltiness is firm, but apart from some notes of cookies it doesn’t lend to much flavour to the beer, just ody. The finish continues to be predominantly hop aromatic, even though there is a great deal of bitterness. An uncomplicated but very enjoyable beer.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Oakes (10941) - Savusavu, FIJI ISLANDS - MAR 13, 2006
Slightly hazy dark amber colour. Fresh woodsy hop aroma with caramel and breadcrust malt. The body is a bit sticky, but gets creamier towards the finish. Rich hop bitterness is well-balanced by bready malts. Well-rounded. Lip-smacking hop finish. Pretty good fresh, but the way this hop character is, it will be probably be total crap in six months. Definitely enjoy this now!
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 argo0 (10388) - Washington DC, USA - JUL 4, 2006
(22oz bottle) Clear amber body topped by medium beige head with good retention. Aroma is orange/floral, some grapefruit, light caramel, bread. Taste is medium sweet, sharp grapefruit, light floral, herbal. Watery medium body, some acidity, nicely drinkable. Straightforward IPA, good stuff.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 bhensonb (9004) - Woodland, California, USA - MAY 14, 2006
Citrus/pine aroma with a hint of malt. Beautiful reddish gold color. Poured in a Fuller’s pint it looks like Badger Tanglefoot. No other resemblance though. That ever present (for me) hint of apricot with the following bitterness. But 85 IBU? This is the mellowest 85 IBU I’ve ever had. Smooth and kind. But the hops linger. It’s just great.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 madsberg (8819) - Søborg, DENMARK - OCT 8, 2006
Bottled. Amber coloured. Unclear. Beige head. Citrus, pineneedles, sweetness, fruits and herbs in the nose. Flavour is herbal and light soapy. Needles and flowers with some citric notes. Medium to full bodied. Is quite smooth. Sharp bitter end.

Draft. Poured clear copper color with an average to large frothy white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy complex floral earthy hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy bitter flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration. A very good brew that exceeded my expectations.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 hopdog (7658) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 14, 2006
22oz bottle acquired in trade with Larry Pitonka (thanks!). Poured a deep and slightly cloudy orange color with a larger sized off white head. Aromas of pine, caramel, some grapefruit and a little spicy. Tastes of grapefruit, caramel, floral, and very light spices. Nice hoppy presence with somewhat of a malty balance. Lots of lacing left on the glass.
