22-oz. bottle. Pours coppery bronze with a tall rocky light tan head. Aroma is hoppy, hugely (pine, spruce) with a fragrant floral nose. Heavy bitterness greets your palate, grapefruit rind and moderate acidity, no sweetness, just sour hop; hop juice. Medium bodied and slightly fizzy and smooth palate.

Rated it under the wrong one way back in 2007 as I remembered this label. Excited to go try the Experimental version in the store now!
Creamy and hoppy aroma. The flavor has a great hop bite. Really sustains with a nice hoppy flavor. My kind of beer.

On tap. A great orange color with a white head and lots of lacing. A great fruit nose, with orange peel and lemon and a bit of pine. The flavor has strong, almost sweet hops up front, with a slightly syrupy mouthfeel and bittersweet aftertaste.

Smells like oranges and apricot nuances. Pours a bright golden orange with a slight opaqueness. Slight foam head with nice carbonation. Taste is punch in the mouth strong. Hops are very bitter with fruit of the aroma coming in at the end. Hops have nice balance with the malt and slight booziness.

From a bomber. Pours light orange with nice white head. Heavy pine and caramel aroma. Nice orange pine hop flavor up backed with a sweet malt backbone. I like it a lot. After trying some other deschutes offerings that I thought were just ok, this was a pleasant surprise.

On tap at the Portland brewery. Clean taste and good head. Great hop taste and nice mouthfeel. Close in effort to hopslam and a great ipa. 95 ibu's!!!

Pours a hazy slightly orange auburn. Very nice, dense offwhite head with real staying power. Aroma is very carmelish and lots of piney hops. Sweet malt flavors, but subdued. Quite strong bittering with grapefruit pith notes. Full heavy mouth feel and long, bitter aftertaste

Clear orangey amber hue. Spicy orange aroma. Fruity hop sweetness and spice on the palate, lightly breast, mild grapefruit on the finish.

AMAZING aroma, crazy hops. First it hits you as floral and citrus-y, but then it reveals itself to have tremendous complexity and an IPA bitter finish. Keeps you guessing with every sip. Kind of love this beer.
