Bottle 650ml.

Clear dark brown color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, coffee notes, heavy hoppy, grapefruit, orange - citrus. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100804]

Bottled. A black beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of spices and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and spices, leading to a dry and bitter finish.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of nicolascage. Pours black and opaque with a creamy light brown head leaving laces. Intense and fresh citrus hops in the finish. Medium body, sweetish hard roasted malt, fresh yet somewhat dusty hops in the finish. 141210

22 fl oz bottle, courtesy of cgarvieuk. Pours dark brown with a huge off-white head. Aroma is roasted malty and fruity hoppy. Smooth fruity, oranges and mild peachy. Lingering fruity and dark malty into the finish.

Bottled. Deep ambery ruby colour with mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is hops, some liquorice, caramel and some mild toffee and alcohol. Flavour is strongly fruity and floral hops along with liquorice and some mild grassy notes.

Bottle. Dark brown coloured with a huge beige head. Fruity aroma of hops, grass and pine needles with roasted notes. Fruity flavour of hops, grass and pine needles with notes of liquorice. Hoppy finish.

Black color, with brownish creamy head. The pungent resiny hop aroma is evident from the moment that the bottle is opened; followed by roasted malts, dark chocolate and some cream. Dry and lean mouthfeel; roasted malt flavor, a bit ashy, with coffee; good but after the aroma some more depth was expected; very strong bitterness, but without special hop qualities, just a lot of resins blending with the bitter roastiness.
Good but not special.

Dark brown with a medium beige and creamy head. Sweet aroma with hard roasted malt, chocolate, loads of hops, pine, grapefruit and lemons. Hoppy flavor with pine, grapefruits, lemons, hard roasted malt, dark chocolate and caramel. Finished dry and bitter. Lovely.

Near black with a big, thick head. Rich chocolatey nose with big c-hop woody and citrus notes. Very appetizing to me. Toasty, with lots of fruit and wood. Pretty strong. Quite good balance. Very functional.
