3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
355mL bottle from Beer Cartel Brewed Oct 2014
Pours an attractive pale copper body with a good sized, dense rocky hit sitting atop.
Aroma is rather nice; leafy, resiny hops, bit of citrus rind, stonefruit & melon to it, nice underlying biscuity malt.
Palate is smooth, good weight, soft carbonation.
Good biscuity/toasty malt backbone plays host to a generous measure of woody, resiny, bitter citrus hops. Reasonably strong bitterness lingers on a lengthy finish.
Rather tasty, rather drinkable!

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
12.28.14 best by.
Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a beer can glass on 11.15.14.
A: Candied strawberry with a little green vegetable. Very juicy smelling.
A: 1/2 finger head. See through light amber body.
T: Strawberry and orange dominate. Green vegetable, slight pine, honey malt, and some funk are subtle.
P: It feels flat even though there are bubbles on the back end. It’s a bit watery also.
O: This was disappointingly too subtle for a fresh hop ale. It was a rare miss from Deschutes.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Rich amber beer with a nice off-white head. Citrus hop aroma with sweet malt. Very dtrong hop aroma. Sweet malt and citrus flavor, but not enough to match the aroma. Lighter bodied than expected. Low bitterness, but some hop flavor.

Bottle from a friend. Copper color, with white head. Malt and fresh hops on the nose. Taste caramel malt and fresh grassy hops. Well balanced, and classic.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle to shaker glass. Pours a cloudy copper / yellow with an off white head that laces well, but dissapates quickly. Decent nose of hops, and some malt. Flavors reflect the same. Good mouthfeel, and pretty nice.

2.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 11/20
Muted aroma and flavour - expected more of both - harmoniously well balanced - very smooth on the tongue so good quaffing ale - just a bit boring.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from Liquor Collection 261114. Pours a very deep orange colour with a scattering of foam across the top. The first thing that hits you is a burst of piney hop aromas. Big bodied bug not overly hoppy which I like in a beer.
