3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On draft, Golden Crust, Red Lion, PA served in an English pint glass. Pours slightly hazy amber, off white head, some lacing and little retention. Aroma of grass and caramel. Taste is more sweet than bitter. Light bodied, average carbonation, slightly watery mouth feel. Finishes dry and clean. It’s not bad but could use more hops.

Less aroma and taste than expected from a fresh hop beer. Rich Amber color. Solid body.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
My first "fresh hopped" beer. Not a hop fanatic but tis the season. Good as far as APAs go. Nothing mind-blowing.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 12/27/2015. Labeled as 6.1% ABV. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy orange/copper color with a 2 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, caramel, toasted biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate bready malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, caramel, toasted biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange peel, pine, caramel, toasted biscuit, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness, complexity, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate bready malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Some light dryness from bitterness after the finish as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and fairly creamy/bready/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice harvest pale ale. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate bready malt sweetness; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Medium amber, moderate+ carbonation. 1 inch off-white, tanish creamy head with plenty of lacing that continues all the way down the glass as you drink. Aroma has hints of fruit, perhaps a little citrus, malt. Thick & creamy mouth feel. Earthy initial taste, with medium bittering in the middle and finish. Substantial malt backbone. A subtle beer, in the tradition of Mirror Pond. Nice and drinkable, but I was expecting a bit more of the fresh hop character in the taste.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Had it on tap. Pours a deep copper clear hue with a thick white head (reminds me of Nipsy Russell). Light aroma with hints of citrus and it has a taste to match the smells, smooth, light , and not to bitter.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Been drinking this a few years, as it comes around, but neverr reviewed. New label & colors don’t quite work for me. Swampy smell, but not offensively so, green, caramel, a perkiness. In flavor, there’s a bitter shimmer around the edge and within the malt & green-ness hang there, mildly vegetative.
