COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Part of the Bond Street Series. This Fresh Hop Pale Ale is all about celebrating the hop harvest in the fall. Fresh picked hops have to be added to the brew immediately and in abundance. Roughly 270 pounds of Crystal hops from Doug Weathers' farm outside Salem, Oregon will be added to the 50 barrel batch in addition to some dry kilned whole flower hops. That adds up to approximately 5.5 pounds of hops per barrel brewed.

Has this on draft at sheffields. Orange pour but dark and clear. Not much aroma. Good IPA floral and hoppy taste but had a cereal and bread taste to it. I like

Itís balanced with neither the malt or the hops overtaking the taste. Itís got a unique taste that I canít place. It doesnít have the "fresh brightness" that other fresh hop beers seem to have. Maybe itís those dry-kilned hops they add? Itís pretty good, and relatively unique.

Pours a dark, amberish orange color with a finger of an off white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a thick ring of lacing. Nice carbonation. Smells of resinous, dank, and grassy fresh hops. Get some herbal characteristics, along with pine, sugary grapefruit, tiny bit of tangerine, and plenty of floral. A very nice, clean carmel malt is detected as well. Taste immediately starts with a resinous, grassy hop flavor, but is quickly balanced out by a sugary grapefruit flavor. The middle continues the sweetness, this time bringing a carmel sweetness. This is balanced with more resinous, herbal hop qualities, along with some grapefruit and tangerine. The finish is really good and makes this beer. Get more resinous qualities, but are more of the bitter variety. This bitterness is tame, however, and is accompanied with more intense notes of grapefruit, grass, and tropical fruits. It seems to start off with more fresh hop qualities and finishes with more juicy, fruity hop qualities. All the while balanced with a sweet, clean, and bready malt backbone. Very clean, crisp, and surprisingly full mouthfeel for a pale ale. Although it has a fuller body, it still drinks likes a session ale and leaves you wanting more. A very well-crafted fresh hop pale ale. I wish the hop harvest was year round because this is awesome.

Diacetyle notes in this one, had it against several midwest wet hop beers and it failed.

mmm. 12 oz. bott.e Pours a nice reddish orange with a an offwhite head. Aroma of big floral and troupical fruit hops, some pine and mild camel sweetness. The beer just smells fucking amazing. Flavor is extremely flavorful bitter hops, nice rich pine and herbal notes. This is blowing me away. Nice, medium body, lively carbonation. Finishes with fresh hop goodness. Delicious.

12oz bottle. Pours a cloudy amber color with a solid head that leaves swathes of lace. Has some grapefruit hops with some tropical fruit in the aroma. Taste starts out with citrus and malt up front, with the grapefruit growing and overtaking by mid-palate; after the swallow, some of the other flavors emerge - passionfruit and guava; the finish is a bit bready with subtle grain flavors. Medium body with moderate carbonation

A hazy amber beer with a thick orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of alcohol, hops, pine needles, and spices. The flavor is sweet malty and dominated by hops and pine needles.

Pours a deep copper with an antique white head. Impressive head retention. Mown grass and citrus nose. Pleasant mouthfeel with an enjoyable, but peculiar mix of caramel malt and tangerine gummy worms. It finishes as smooth as it begins. This beer is an excellent example of a fresh hopped ale while managing to be pleasantly different.
