COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Part of the Bond Street Series. This Fresh Hop Pale Ale is all about celebrating the hop harvest in the fall. Fresh picked hops have to be added to the brew immediately and in abundance. Roughly 270 pounds of Crystal hops from Doug Weathers' farm outside Salem, Oregon will be added to the 50 barrel batch in addition to some dry kilned whole flower hops. That adds up to approximately 5.5 pounds of hops per barrel brewed.

Dark copper with a small white head. The aroma is huge on crystal hops, nice and floral with some spice. Flavor is nice and clean, with strong hops, touch of caramel, and crisp finish. Very nicely done.

Smells like bad body Oder, but has a good hoppy flavor that anyone can appreciate!

Bottle. Clear copper-orange pour with a small head that fades to a thin ring. Leaves great lacing. Aroma is very floral with some herbs, citrus juice, and sugary malt. Tastes pretty sugary too. Floral hops are nice here but thereís nothing exciting. Dry, herbal finish. Not my kinda APA.

Sweet floral and bready aroma. Pours somewhat opaque with a thick white head. Love the flavor, very well balanced with sweetness and bitterness in equal measure.

Draught at The Beer Trappe. Caramel color with some caramel, sugar sweet, and light citrus. Not a hop trip that I expected, but ok.

From a 12 oz into a mason jar. Pours an odd dirty brown. Thick dank lacing. Pint aroma. Mouthfeel is moderate with too much carb. Taste is Dankish with pine and mold. Meh. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle, from Dutchís. Best by 12/28/14. Labeled 5.9%. Clear orange amber color. Good thicker off-white sort of khaki-ish head. Leaves good, thicker lace. Kind of a spicy hop, sort of fruity and juicy. Caramel malt. Moderate sweet taste, light bitterness. Kind of a malty sugary sweet finish in the aftertaste, which I donít love. Medium body. Kind of a syrupy mouthfeel, but it is very smooth. Lighter carbonation, sort of a full feel. A decent fresh hop pale ale, but itís a bit too malty and sweet for me to love it. 5.5 pounds of hops per barrel? No way. Maybe in the original recipe, but I canít believe that is possible in this version. The recipe has got to have changed at some point, based off of what I am tasting.

Bottle sample at the wet hop tasting at Blacklick Wine & Spirits on 10/23/14. Pours clear copper with a medium beige head. Aroma of sweet caramel, grass and onion. Malty flavor with light fruit before a grassy hop finish.

Really nice pale ale. Very nicely balanced with hops and malts. Clean, crisp and very refreshing.

Draft pour at Special Brews. Pours a dark copper color with a patchy lasting head to it. Mostly hops on the aroma. A lot of bitter hop flavor, with an equal amount of sweet malt character. I donít know, I guess I was pretty bored with this beer. Nice hop flavor, but overall I wasnít too impressed with this one. Maybe my expectation was high. I still enjoyed it.
