COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Part of the Bond Street Series. This Fresh Hop Pale Ale is all about celebrating the hop harvest in the fall. Fresh picked hops have to be added to the brew immediately and in abundance. Roughly 270 pounds of Crystal hops from Doug Weathers' farm outside Salem, Oregon will be added to the 50 barrel batch in addition to some dry kilned whole flower hops. That adds up to approximately 5.5 pounds of hops per barrel brewed.

For the style, one of the best I’ve had. It pours a slightly hazy amber with a lacing head. The aroma has some floral hops, caramel, a bit of booze and some grass. The flavor has the same but also has a very nice fruitiness to it that makes it quite refreshing. Very dry, crisp and clean.

Nice pour, big head...good resinous, citrus hop aroma, some caramel malt and a hint of spice. Flavor is juicy, hoppy, very refreshing. Good beer.

Tap. Pour is amber with a white head. Aroma of floral and citrus hop. Taste to match. Tons of fresh hops!

22oz. Pours with an off-white copper color, smallish head with decent lacing. Aroma of fresh and fruity hops with orange and a bit of minerals or rock smell. Taste is fresh and chewy hops, fruity and floral yet finishes sweet. Well crafted.

Pours an orange color with a slight hop smell to it. Has a citrus hop taste that follows with a slight bitterness. It’s like a light IPA.

Bottle. I like Deshutes a lot, but I wasn’t a big fan of this one. Not much aroma, and the flavor was a bit of citrus with an oily mouthfeel.

Decent beer all around. Nothing that really stood out, I was disappointed. I have only had a few beers from this brewery but so far mirror pond and hop trip both seem very watered down

Bottle. Dark copper with a 1"+ head. Rich thick straight forward resiny hop nose. Nice tasty light IPA. Even a bit of nut in the flavour. Wood, spruce, touch of alcohol and resin.

650 ml. bottle. BBD 01/19/11. Pours a thick off white head of good duration, with attractive lacing, over a slightly hazy, lightly particled, amber (SRM 9) body....nose is light toffee/caramel, pine, light grapefruit, bit of hop floral tones.....taste is a melange of toffee/caramel, then light pine, finishing with a light grapefruit bitterness....mouth feel is medium, carbonation makes a creamy spritz. Despite being a bit too old, the hops in this well balanced Pale Ale were bright and lively. This is a delicious example of the style, and an easy drinking pint. BJCP 8/3/14/4/7

Cloudy honey amber in color. Wonderful sweet soapy floral aroma, similar to Irish Spring. Clean citrus bitter flavor followed by slightly sweet malt aftertaste almost like the crusty flavor on a lemon bunt cake. Seriously... it’s delicious. Overall, it’s flavorful, drinkable and delicious...
