COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Part of the Bond Street Series. This Fresh Hop Pale Ale is all about celebrating the hop harvest in the fall. Fresh picked hops have to be added to the brew immediately and in abundance. Roughly 270 pounds of Crystal hops from Doug Weathers' farm outside Salem, Oregon will be added to the 50 barrel batch in addition to some dry kilned whole flower hops. That adds up to approximately 5.5 pounds of hops per barrel brewed.

I love this pale ale. It drinks like a normal pale ale, but has a lot of bright hot taste and character. Not much as far as aroma, but the palette makes up for it. Very easy drinker. For those not too sure about IPA’s yet, this will be a great stepping stone!

Pours a hazy copper with a large frothy white head. Hoppy aroma of fruity, floral and grassy with caramel malt and some bread and toffee notes. Taste is similar. Medium body.

From a bottle, this stuff has a volatile metallic aroma. Cloudy lighter iced tea look about it. Surprisingly has pretty good co2, got to hand it to ya. First taste tho is that big large kick in the palate. Bitter waxy mouth coating resin fer sure. Good example of a DIPA. Wrenchingly on style, wew. YIP YIP. Reverse numbers if you like this style.

A winner for me. Full of hops just the way I like it. Great aroma. Full body but not too heavy. A good session beer.

Pours amber with a large head. Nose shows soft citrus and pine along with rich caramel and sweet malt. More sweet malt as a flavour, with a little spicy and piny hops behind.

Draft at Barrel Republic. Pours hazy copper with a foamy off white head. Tastes like sweet biscuit and toasted malt, resin, caramel, woody, and citrus hops. Light/medium body and carbonation. Smells like fresh hops, malty, citrusy.

Decent pale ale. Golden orange with foamy, semi-creamy head. Citrus hops with offsetting malt backbone.

355mL bottle from Beer Cartel Brewed Oct 2014 Pours an attractive pale copper body with a good sized, dense rocky hit sitting atop. Aroma is rather nice; leafy, resiny hops, bit of citrus rind, stonefruit & melon to it, nice underlying biscuity malt. Palate is smooth, good weight, soft carbonation. Good biscuity/toasty malt backbone plays host to a generous measure of woody, resiny, bitter citrus hops. Reasonably strong bitterness lingers on a lengthy finish. Rather tasty, rather drinkable!

12.28.14 best by. Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a beer can glass on 11.15.14. A: Candied strawberry with a little green vegetable. Very juicy smelling. A: 1/2 finger head. See through light amber body. T: Strawberry and orange dominate. Green vegetable, slight pine, honey malt, and some funk are subtle. P: It feels flat even though there are bubbles on the back end. It’s a bit watery also. O: This was disappointingly too subtle for a fresh hop ale. It was a rare miss from Deschutes.

Rich amber beer with a nice off-white head. Citrus hop aroma with sweet malt. Very dtrong hop aroma. Sweet malt and citrus flavor, but not enough to match the aroma. Lighter bodied than expected. Low bitterness, but some hop flavor.

Bottle from a friend. Copper color, with white head. Malt and fresh hops on the nose. Taste caramel malt and fresh grassy hops. Well balanced, and classic.
