4.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
I love this pale ale. It drinks like a normal pale ale, but has a lot of bright hot taste and character. Not much as far as aroma, but the palette makes up for it. Very easy drinker. For those not too sure about IPAís yet, this will be a great stepping stone!

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma: Spicy pine hop character with a little tangerine; a surprisingly moderate caramel malt bill as well. Appearance: Slightly hazy copper body with a lively stream of carbonation supporting a foamy white head that mostly stays afloat. Flavor: Pine up front and throughout, with more citrus coming through toward the finish; caramel is a bit more subdued, but present. Slightly bitter finish. Palate: Medium body, sticky texture, lively carbonation, slightly bitter finish. Overall: A good IPA, but not among the best out there.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a finger of head on a hazy medium straw colored body.
The aroma has some tropical fruit: mango and pineapple, along with lemon and pine. Nice.
The taste has a moderate bitterness throughout, with caramel sweetness layered in nicely. Great balance and profile.
The texture is a little fizzy.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
The name appeals to me. Letís see if the beer does. Pouri8ng a clear amber body, itís topped by a modest bubble filled head. The nose has a floral and citrus scent covering a light caramel sweetness. (The head dissolved into a film as I made that observation.) The flavor has a malt forward sweetness followed by citrus and zest hop tastes. It never really gets very bitter. The name appeals to me.

From 12 oz bottle. Really nice ale. Pours a beautiful amber copper color. Iím not a huge IBU guy, so maybe that explains why I like this so much. Nice creamy tight bubble head, crisp, clean and easy drinking. Sweet hoppy taste without bitterness.

Bottle - I was highly impressed with the deep orange pour, nice head and good lacing. Has a faint orange hop aroma and a dry hop taste. Thin mouthfeel. Good beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This beer is a clear orange color with a medium white head. The aroma blends piney, citrus, and resin hops with a subtle toasted maltiness; the taste is mildly bitter, slightly sour, and slightly sweet, and the aftertaste has a citrusy (grapefruit) flavor. The palate fuses a soft carbonation with a bite, medium-light body, and an initially slick texture that turns sticky with the carbonationís bite.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Best by date of 12/29/14 stamped in the bottom left side of the bottle.
The appearance was a nice looking hazy to transparent amber color with a nice one finger white to off white foamy head that gets nice and rocky as it dissipated.
The smell had a sweet deep caramel malts up front reminiscent of an English Pale Ale without the soapiness normally associated with English Pales. Light citrus hops try to balance but mainly stay in the background.
The taste followed the nose to a sweet touch coming across in a sweet sticky caramel flavor. Thereís a light sweet caramel aftertaste and a sticky finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Moderate sticky sweet caramel balances across the tongue.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good English Pale Ale that would be great with fish ní chips but I canít really see it as an American Pale Ale. Iíd still have it again.
