Not a hop killer, but itís a pale ale first and then a hoppy treat, which is in my wheelhouse. Pours. Tastes. Finishes. Iím sure thereís lacing. I drink beer like this bc itís all good, says my therapist.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A dark, almost ruby golden color with half finger off white head. Smells of fresh cut grass, honey biscuit, tea. Taste is light on the grassy hops, small bit of sweetness, ends with a light cracker taste and small amount of bitter.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from 12oz bottle, pours an unclear amber orange with an egg shelled colored head, aroma has some citrus and light hops on the nose and the flavor has a little bit of sweetness on the front end with a slight hop finish, not all that bad.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Ales & Lagers in KL at home in HK. Clear iron-amber pour. Minimal white head with some dotting. Aroma is pine resin and floral hops - not too strong but enticing. Taste is relatively light, and quite malty for a hop-driven APA. Background of crisp slightly floral bitter hops, with a good bite on the finish. Nice but wouldn't get again I don't think.

Bought by Matt back from Malaysia. Amber-brown cloudy pour. White sudsy head with huge bubbles. Smells of crystalline malt, floral dusty hop. Slightly sweet and slightly dusty. Taste is moderately bitter, resin, faint pepper, lightly sweet malty finish. Body is medium, quite slick, smooth, long, moderate bitterness, lemony finish. Plenty of malt and decent amount of hop for a pale ale.

On tap. Pours dark orange with hints of brown, almost no head. Typical American pale ale in the SN style but with less vibrancy. Not bad--and I recall the bottle version being better--but I can easily think of 10 beers from Deschutes that I prefer to this.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cloudy appearance. Thick, frothy head. Good lacing. Very sweet hoppy aroma. Citrusy. Orange. It smells of fresh hops. Citrusy hoppy finish. Sticky mouthfeel. Salty. Almost dry tasting. Soft carbonation. Not a bad beer just do not see as a beer i would purchase very often.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle. bB date of 12/27/15. Appearance: Clear amber deep Amber with a touch of orange, medium khaki foam head.
Aroma: Faint grassy citrus. Hop aroma is minimal, obviously not at optimal freshness.
Taste: Light caramel with strong toasted malt notes. Moderately strong bitterness that tends to have more tropical fruit notes than other fresh hop beers that are especially resinous and grassy. Overall hop flavor is more subdued than others.
Mouthfeel: Medium body with some creaminess and light to moderate carbonation.
Finish: Lingering resin and grass, with a touch of toasted malt.
Overall: This was on the low end of fresh/wet hopped ales Iíve had, but likely because it wasnít at optimal freshness. Aroma was minimal, and hop flavor was lacking and dull. Not impressed but will give a fresher example a shot next year.

Enjoyed at Najaís place in redondo beach, LA. A well balanced beer; a great one to start off with. Deepish red pour. Great flavourful hoppyness and a solid caramel malt backbone. Nice bittersweet finish
