COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Part of the Bond Street Series. This Fresh Hop Pale Ale is all about celebrating the hop harvest in the fall. Fresh picked hops have to be added to the brew immediately and in abundance. Roughly 270 pounds of Crystal hops from Doug Weathers' farm outside Salem, Oregon will be added to the 50 barrel batch in addition to some dry kilned whole flower hops. That adds up to approximately 5.5 pounds of hops per barrel brewed.

Nice amber color when poured from a bottle into a spiegelau IPA glass. Thick persistent head with rich lacing. Nose is hoppy but not overly so. Flavor has very clear citrus notes with a slight pine. Very nice all in all, but unremarkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma: Spicy pine hop character with a little tangerine; a surprisingly moderate caramel malt bill as well. Appearance: Slightly hazy copper body with a lively stream of carbonation supporting a foamy white head that mostly stays afloat. Flavor: Pine up front and throughout, with more citrus coming through toward the finish; caramel is a bit more subdued, but present. Slightly bitter finish. Palate: Medium body, sticky texture, lively carbonation, slightly bitter finish. Overall: A good IPA, but not among the best out there.

Pours a finger of head on a hazy medium straw colored body. The aroma has some tropical fruit: mango and pineapple, along with lemon and pine. Nice. The taste has a moderate bitterness throughout, with caramel sweetness layered in nicely. Great balance and profile. The texture is a little fizzy. Quite enjoyable.

The name appeals to me. Letís see if the beer does. Pouri8ng a clear amber body, itís topped by a modest bubble filled head. The nose has a floral and citrus scent covering a light caramel sweetness. (The head dissolved into a film as I made that observation.) The flavor has a malt forward sweetness followed by citrus and zest hop tastes. It never really gets very bitter. The name appeals to me.

From 12 oz bottle. Really nice ale. Pours a beautiful amber copper color. Iím not a huge IBU guy, so maybe that explains why I like this so much. Nice creamy tight bubble head, crisp, clean and easy drinking. Sweet hoppy taste without bitterness.

Bottle. Clear golden copper with a thin, foamy, amber head that lasts and laces. Aromas of caramel, pine, grapefruit, and light biscuit. Flavor is pine, grapefruit, biscuit, caramel, and light damp grass notes. Medium bodied, crisp with a bitter and dry end.

Aromas of candy and caramel. Almost malty like aroma. Reminds me of English ipa. Itís a trip .. alright .. just not the hop one

Bottle - I was highly impressed with the deep orange pour, nice head and good lacing. Has a faint orange hop aroma and a dry hop taste. Thin mouthfeel. Good beer.

Tap at Happy Gnome. Orange with a sticky white head. Banana bread, fruity hops, and juicy fruit gum. Flavor has a moderate sweetness with a dry finish. Body is medium with a foamy feel.

This beer is a clear orange color with a medium white head. The aroma blends piney, citrus, and resin hops with a subtle toasted maltiness; the taste is mildly bitter, slightly sour, and slightly sweet, and the aftertaste has a citrusy (grapefruit) flavor. The palate fuses a soft carbonation with a bite, medium-light body, and an initially slick texture that turns sticky with the carbonationís bite.

Best by date of 12/29/14 stamped in the bottom left side of the bottle. The appearance was a nice looking hazy to transparent amber color with a nice one finger white to off white foamy head that gets nice and rocky as it dissipated. The smell had a sweet deep caramel malts up front reminiscent of an English Pale Ale without the soapiness normally associated with English Pales. Light citrus hops try to balance but mainly stay in the background. The taste followed the nose to a sweet touch coming across in a sweet sticky caramel flavor. Thereís a light sweet caramel aftertaste and a sticky finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Moderate sticky sweet caramel balances across the tongue. Overall, I say this was a pretty good English Pale Ale that would be great with fish ní chips but I canít really see it as an American Pale Ale. Iíd still have it again.
