This strong pale is brewed in traditional Northwest-style, you’ll be happy to know! The hops are floral and pronounced (Horizon, Cascade, Crystal) while the malt bill is made up of two types of crystal malt and two types of wheat. This produces a well hopped, balanced beer with malty smoothness. IBU’s: 75.
Note: Revived at the Bend brewpub in 2009 after 4 years.

bottled: poured amber/orange with a small thin head that was gone quite quickly. whimsical notes of herbs and fresh fruit with citrus and grass freshness. mouth was low in body feel, could of used a little more co2 imo. cascade hops dominate the palate with some slight grapefruit. qiute mild and good probably for an every day drinker, nothibg over the top ....easy to drink.

Amber color, light head/lacing. Nose of fresh cascades, harvest time? The flavor is also a bit bitter but sweet to balance. Good foundation of an pie. Finishes musky

Amber/mahogany with a creamy head and spots of lace. Big bitter and nice backing malts. Some spiciness. More citrus hops with some bitterness. Grapefruit and caramel. Big bodied with a bitter finish.

Not to overpowering hoppy aroma. Suprisingly subtle on the hops for an IPA. Nice crisp finish...well balanced sweetness.

Ok on cask at the Deschutes Brewpub in Bend Oregon. What an excellent looking IPA..deep orange , very hazy amazing creamy cask conditioned head..marvelous lacing. Very hoppy/spicy aroma..exceptionally fresh. The cask conditioning seems to lessen the bitterness and allow the malts some room to raom making a very nicelly balanced beer. Exceptional on the palate..silky smooth and very creamy. What a drinkable ale..I could drink these all night ..wonderful
