COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This strong porter features a solid smoke presence, a rich malt character and a smooth, rounded mouthfeel. Additions of dark muscovado sugar, oats and wheat contribute to its complexity.

Ample sweet earthy wood smoke, bits of tar, touches of anise, sweet biscuit, warming finish, pepper, bits of citric fruit acid, slightly slick oily feel enhanced by what I can call most ordinarily - a "protein feel". Not sure how to say this otherwise. Really delicious at mid and high 40 degrees fahrenheit and then falling apart fairly rapidly over 50. Really interesting and amazingly delicious. WOW.

On tap at Belmont Station. Colour...very dark brown with a moderately thick ecru head. Nose...sweet, nutty and lightly smokey with hints of spit roasted meat. Palate...tangy, sweet but not overly sweet, bitter around the edges of the palate and then comes the smoke. The smoke is not an overpowering force here, and that’s good. The subtlety of the smoke allows other flavours (milk chocolate, butterscotch and treacle) to come through and meld nicely. This is one of the most balanced smoked porters I’ve ever had!

Aroma of smoked malts... Deep brown black in color... Flavor is intensely smokey, chocolate malts and hints of coffee give way to overwhelming smoke on the palate... Decent
