Commercial Description:
After months of experimentation, energy and obsession, Deschutes Brewery’s brewers have triumphed once again with their newest creation - Inversion IPA. Inversion’s trio of American hops delivers an over-the-top nose with hints of orange and grapefruit. Inversion is then dry-hopped for seven days resulting in an added hoppy kick. To balance the hop character of Inversion, Deschutes’ brewers used crystal and caraston malts that weave throughout the beer providing soft, complex caramel flavors. Inversion IPA is smooth and delicious. Just like clear days up on the mountain, Inversion IPA will deliver a path to higher ground. Inversion will be available year-round starting in early April on draft and in 6-packs. Inversion IPA is a phenomenal NW-style IPA, beckoning all beer drinkers and enticing IPA lovers to invert their world and find clarity above the routine of the everyday. Alc. By Vol. 6.8% IBUs 75

On tap at Deschutes brewery in Portland.
EXCELLENT! Delicious hop profile. IBU’s for days while still maintaining a great malt backbone. Great mouth feel and lacing. One of my favorite IPA’s!

A Mes rate: Bottle at GBBF.
An attractive amber colour with a very good off white head. A straight forward U.S. IPA with some good resinous hops, very grassy and some ethanol notes. Nicely dry and bitter in the finish. Run of the mill but very drinkable.

This is one of my go to beers when I am in a pinch, it is always available at B-mo in the cooler, ready to go. The beer pours a copper color with a thin head, that laces down the glass quite well. Very hoppy nose that is balanced slightly with citrus and caramel notes. You taste the hops in this one and it finishes dry & refreshing. This makes a great summer sesion beer for a hop head like me.

355 ml bottle. Clear orange/amber body with a big foamy off-white head. Aroma of citrus/grapefruit. Flavor is sweet, fruity and quite bitter. Medium + body and a fine long, bitter finish. Refreshing, quite bitter, not extreme and well balanced.
