tuohyam (14), Enumclaw, Washington, USA Jul 13, 2008 A good IPA. Doesn’t quite have the full flavor of Big Sky or Avery though. Very satisfying and better than most IPA’s. doubleo (1096), San Diego, California, USA Jul 13, 2008 On-tap at Churchill’s. Pours copper/amber color with a good sized offwhite head, some lace. Smells subdued, caramelly, earthy hoppy, a bit grassy. Tastes hoppy and malty sweet caramelly, bitterness hits toward the finish, slight grass flavor. FLavors and bitterness linger better than I remember. Medium body, good carbonation. desurfer (1067), Pinellas Park, Florida, USA Jul 5, 2008 Bottle. Pours a medium amber with a medium off-white head. Hoppy, flowery aroma. Earthy grapefruit and pine hops dominate the flavor, balanced by rich caramely malts. Super drinkable, tasty IPA. douglas88 (1556), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA Jun 23, 2008 Bottle bought in Jackson, Wyoming. Pours a clear amber with a medium white head that dies down. The aroma is tons of malt and some floral and citrus hops. The taste is quite bitter, hops mixed with a rich caramel and smooth malt. Very nice finish that is sweet and lingers bitterness on your palate. A very enjoyable IPA. pantani (1894), Salinas, California, USA Jun 22, 2008 Amber with a thin off white head. Aroma is a caramel maltiness with a subdued northwest hoppy character. Taste is an initial sweetness followed by the maltiness, and a slight almond like character. leaparsons (4659), Leicester, Leicestershire, England Jun 17, 2008 Bottle. Beers of the World Live, NEC. Golden with a small head. Aromas are peppery wit pine and herbal notes. Warming alcohol. Quite low malts. Flavours are light malts with bitter green pine. Floral and peppery with evident alcohol. FlyingSwine (169), Littleton, Colorado, USA Jun 13, 2008 Absolutely beautiful looking beer. Pours a dark, cloudy crimson, with a respectable head. Aroma is typical of NW IPAs. Flavor is heavilly hoppy and way too bitter for my tongue. Palate is slightly fizzy, and really dry. Overall this one isn’t my cup of tea. timfoolery (482), California, USA Jun 13, 2008 Bottle from Beerfest at Sudwerk in Davis, CA. It reminded me of one of my favorite IPAs: Green Flash. Very fruity, hoppy and bitter. I was pleasantly surprised.
