| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 18, 2007 Inversion IPA certainly satisfied my hop craving, and had some very interesting flavor notes. However, I found the bitterness to be rather rough - it didn’t have a lot of sweetness or other hop esters to balance the bitterness. Aside from the bitterness, I got a significant malt presence from the beer, and as it warmed I got some interesting flavor notes to include bubble gum, which I’ve not previously gotten from any beer. The beer poured from the bottle a rather bright orange with great sturdy head formation. Aroma was a lot of hop bitterness, with a minimal amount of fruit. Flavor is as I’ve described above. Mouthfeel is a bit rough, but not unpleasant.
It is a bit hard to rate this beer. I thought it a bit unique among the hundreds of IPAs out there (interesting mouthfeel and flavors), but I found it only slightly above average when it comes to how much I enjoyed it. A nice beer - and I’d recommend it probably more than my numeric ratings would indicate. Prostman (1077), Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 29, 2007 Bottle. Amber color, aroma of slight pine, hops, citrus. Flavor was a subdued version of the aroma, has a nice bite to it, but it doesn’t annoy. Not bad. RSRIZZO (1362), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | Sep 23, 2007 Had this beer on 7/3/2006. Aroma has a nice maltiness to it with faint tones of hops on the back. Color is a deep golden with good carbonation and a nice tight head. Taste is soapy and bitter. Starting with a medium body it goes down with the bite of bitterness coming on. Finish comes on with a soap like taste that is followed by a sharp bitterness and ends with a taste that is like biting into the peel of an orange. All of this leaves you with a sharp bitter feel in the back of your mouth. It is way to bitter and unbalanced for me.
