Bright and clear orange liquid under a medium white head and fair lace. Fresh hoppy aroma of citrus and pine with some contribution from light malts. Medium body and carbonation, clean, dry mouthfeel. Although the caramel sweetness is there, the grapefruit bitterness quickly overcomes, bringing on a lenghty dry finish. This is a nice example of an American style IPA. AmazonMatt (284), Panama
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 20, 2007 I was expecting a bit more from this beer. Aroma was soapy with floral and light citrus notes. In the mouth it was sweet, with decent hops, but nothing that stood out. Finish is wierd. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA

Deschutes Inversion IPA pours a hazy, but bright copper color. The head is thin and frothy in texture and ivory in color. Sweet and sugary grapefruit and some orange citrus fill the aroma. The flavor is earthy and mostly dominated by hop flavor including pine and grapefruit. However, the overall bitterness is moderate and there is some toffee-like maltiness underneath. This beer has a medium body with subtle carbonation (quite smooth as well). This IPA isn’t overly unique, but’s still quite tasty!

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 4, 2007 Tap. Hazy bronze body, small white head with dense soapy lacing. Grape skin and lime in the bitter aroma. Pine and grapefruit bitterness pervades the flavor, some light crystal malt underneath. White not horribly unique the bold hops make it hard to resist. jason (1621), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 3, 2007 Bottle thanks to Dirty_Martini. Poured a deep amber body with hugh head, light lacing. Aroma is of sweet malt with an odd citrus feel that I couldn’t pin-point. Falvor is really bitter at first with a sweet malt backbone. Settled down a bit but was still more bitter than the body would allow. Light cirtus aftertaste. bocefus (9), Portland, Oregon, USA does not count | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 28, 2007 bottle. This is an awesome IPA. When I saw this was 6.8% I had to try it, you wouldn’t know it though. Smells a little sweet, malty. a little bit sweet at first and then a little but not too bitter. One of my favorites. Two of these and I’m good. Three, real good. Cletus (5052), Connecticut, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Feb 21, 2007 Pours copper with a tan head which is unusual for an IPA. Smells of wildflowers and citrus. Tastes watery with some bitterness and grassy undertones. TimE (1301), Tokyo, Japan
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Feb 17, 2007 Magnificant golden amber color. White, thin head. Pine, citrus and apples hit the nose with underlying caramel malt. Starts muted, but then hops kick the back of the mouth in the teeth (??). This beer is all about the back of the mouth and throat. Bitterness lingers. Finish starts malty then kicks in some hops. Dry bitter finish with some residual caramel malt flavors. Overall just lacked some depth in the middle, but I am drunkanyways and enjoying this beer with curry, so whatever.
