Has bubble gum, sweetness, herbal and fruity. I really can´t say it better than: After months of experimentation, energy and obsession, Deschutes Brewery’s brewers have triumphed once again with their newest creation - Inversion IPA. Inversion’s trio of American hops delivers an over-the-top nose with hints of orange and grapefruit. Inversion is then dry-hopped for seven days resulting in an added hoppy kick. To balance the hop character of Inversion, Deschutes’ brewers used crystal and caraston malts that weave throughout the beer providing soft, complex caramel flavors. Inversion IPA is smooth and delicious. Just like clear days up on the mountain, Inversion IPA will deliver a path to higher ground. Food Pairing: Spicy seafood, shrimp, crabs. brenn79 (160), Idaho, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 1, 2009 bottle-deep amber color, little head.First taste-spice flavor, different than most IPA’s. half point-Little to no head left, flavors are holding up nicely. finish-This beer grew on me as it warmed, it’s complex, new flavors you dont normally find in an IPA, and i give this brew props for trying something new. Overall i was impressed with the complexity, but i like my IPA’s more traditionally. Papsoe (14881), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 28, 2009 A solid, if not spectacular, IPA. Not a bad beer, although a little too strong to be reasonably sessioned. rabidbarfly (57), London, England
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 26, 2009 The hops come through a beauty on the nose along with faint orange. This was not as in-your-face as a usual american ipa but managed to peak my interest all the same. Got some caramel from the taste and hoppy bitterness that still isn’t too in your face.
