COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Enter, if you will, all the glorious aromatic complexity of the hop. This big, bold IPA’s intense multi-hop kick gets a subtle dose of restraint from select Crystal and Carastan malts. For discriminating hop heads.

Bottle from the great ditmier. Pours a dark orange almost amber color with a decently lasting off white head. Aromas of sticky resin pine and a little caramel. Incredibly full bodied for a straight ipa and the pine hop flavors are sick. The finish is a slightly alcoholic bitterness but just the right amount to make it interesting. Really good straight up IPA.

Thanks to Ditmeir for the bottle. Dark copper pour with a thick off white head. Big hop aroma, lots of Cascade style citrus. Nice malt body with a great citrus hop bitterness. Damn good IPA.

Ah, I knew I was in heaven when I was able to sample 5 different IPAs at the brewpub. This was the first - a lovely citrus and floral IPA that screamed northwest. Balanced beer with a sweet malt middle and dry bitter finish. I could drink a ton of this beer.

UPDATED: OCT 1, 2011 Aroma: Fresh floral Cascade hops, straw, bitter orange peel, caramel. Flavor: Initial citrus, bitterness and straw flavors open up to a moderate caramel malt on the mid-palate and then returns to the citrus, bitter straw flavors on a long finish. Comment: Good flavors. I’ll buy this again ƙ/08). On Draft at P town brewpub 2009. Aroma: Malt, grassy hop, orange Flavor: Good hop & malt balance with a clean finish. Comments: This time gave it a 38 rating (10th beer in a Deschutes tasting line up so possibly had some palate fatigue? or it just wasn’t quite as good as the earlier tasting).

Bottle (in NZ). Pours a bright reddy-amber with a large foamy off-white head. Yummy hop aroma, more pine than citrus for me, combined with toffee from the malt. The hops and malt don’t combine so well on the palate, the bitterness lacks balance and the malt is nearly non-existent. The citrus dominates the pine in the flavour this time, while the finish is a touch chalky.

Heavy on the hops; just how I like it. I like it better than other higher rated IPAs. It has a stronger bite to it, so be careful with what you eat with it.

From a bottle, pours a cloudy amber with a big pale tan head. The aroma is nutty and citrusy. The body is medium with average carbonation. Taste is carmel, citrus, just the right amount of sweetness and a big bitter citrusy, piney finish.

Hazy dark copper pour, with a sudsy, sticky lace - nose of caramel and crackery, biscuity malts - grapefruit and orange - fairly full-bodied, and much more malt forward than many american ipas - those hops do come on really strong, though - they add a lot of pine/spruce character - slightly estery, which works well with the malt profile - finish of gingerbread and lingering hoppiness - a bit more distinctive than your average american ipa - nice.

Bottle. Pours an amber body with a white head. Hoppy with a pine, and grapefruit character. Subtle malt notes caramel and some grass. Nice brew.

Caramel green apple nose with hints of pine trees. Copper colored with a big frothy head. Malty and rich, big bitterness like an unripe green apple’s skin, interesting and well balanced. Big carbonation, full bodied, and a bitter fruity smooth finish. Great IPA, fruit is huge and makes for a refreshing IPA. Nice beer.
