Enter, if you will, all the glorious aromatic complexity of the hop. This big, bold IPA’s intense multi-hop kick gets a subtle dose of restraint from select Crystal and Carastan malts. For discriminating hop heads.

This is a great IPA. It could topple Titan as a favorite. The only thing throwing me off is the creepy, cryptic message on the bottle: "Inversion is as close as you can get without knowing somebody." I’m an English major who has no idea what that means, so I’m going to leave a creepy, cryptic review in return: "To fail to grasp the complexities of this beer is to fail to grasp the complexities within yourself."

Dark amber/copper with a nice lasting head. Caramel aroma. Taste is fairly typical IPA, maybe a little more caramel and a nice finish. Good body and mouthfeel. Not my favorite, but not bad at all.

A grain malt forward IPA. Flavors are definitely earthy and malty. Nice head that last. toast and carbonation. aroma is nice citrus. Good mouth feel.

Pours a darker amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is of caramel malts and that about it. Not much hops for an IPA. Flavor has more hops than the aroma but not much more. Kind of had a soapy flavor as well.

Pours a golden brown - a little bit darker for this style. Nice head and lacing. Aroma of apricot and pine. Big mouth feel with resiny floral hops, and full, slightly bitter finish.

@ Deschutes 16-3-10: Tydlig humlig men även lite söt. Ingen distinkt smak. Ok läskande men inget mer.

Poured from the bottle into a pint glass to drink. The beer had a fairly dark amber-copper color with a large foamy off-white head with excellent retention, along with good cling and lacing. Its aroma featured a blend of hops notes, particularly pine and floral hops, along with a mix of some lighter citrus tones and some mild grassy and grainy notes. It had a pleasant and somewhat moderate bitter taste, featuring pine and floral flavors, with a grainy effect, and a zesty citrus component too. The beer was fairly dry with a medium-thick mouth presence, and with good carbonation, along with a thicker finish.

Bottle at spice house in Portland. Hazy orange with medium white head and good lacing. Citrus pine nose. A pretty standard ipa through and through.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 6/11/2016. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy deep reddish copper color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, lemon zest, light pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate dark/bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, lemon zest, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, lemon zest, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness that increases through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderate sticky, and creamy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Not bad. Middle of the road IPA for me. Nothing about it stands out. Easy enough to drink and beer tastes good.

Perhaps I got a bad one from the store, but it did not live up to the hype. It had virtually no hop nose, and with 80 IBUs, I expected a big hop punch on the same level as Stone. I bought this 12oz bottle loose at $3.75, and I’m just disappointed. I can’t even close out with "cheers."
