Enter, if you will, all the glorious aromatic complexity of the hop. This big, bold IPA’s intense multi-hop kick gets a subtle dose of restraint from select Crystal and Carastan malts. For discriminating hop heads.

Awful. Just drink a Sierra Nevada. An IPA with zero hops? Strange. All malt on this thing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle to tulip. Pours clouded blood orange, tan sticky head. Aroma of pine, pineapple, mango, candied peach, and some fig. Taste of same with grapefruit bitters. Astringent alcohol finish. Mouthfeel is moderate with good carb.

Not an IPA fan but this one was very good...meaning I could drink multiple bottles of them! Not too hoppy and not a bitter after taste at all. Deschutes has another good one on its hands.

Plenty of hops with this one, but its a good combination not over powering and bitter .

355ml bottle bought at Q-Club in SoHo, Central.

Looks: Clear amber brown colour; Half finger head and soapy off-white foam which fades in 30 seconds; Excellent sticky lacing with very slight carbonation.

Aroma: Quite fragrant Ale malt, with floral, light melon, strong Bock-ish malt, light molasses, spices, strong yeast, biscuits, lemon and light grass. <p.Taste: Medium sweet full Ale malt, with moderate roastyness, strong caramel, very strong molasses, thin pine , strong resins, strong spices, light earth, dry biscuits, strong yeast, strong lemon, strong bitter hops and fairly strong grass.

Body: Close to medium body. Slick and quite oozy palate.

Mouth Feel: Very Bock-ish palate upfront woth strong caramel. Good maltyness, but its body rather thin. No fruityness except lemon. Strong molasses in which the bittering hops didn’t quite match it. Resin and spicy. I wish there’s something more…

Hoppiness: Floral, light melon, spices, lemon and light grass n nose. Strong resins, strong spices, light earth, strong lemon and grass in taste. Bitterness is strong, not enough to counter the sweetness for a lasting, quite high astringent sweet-bitter finish.

After Taste: Fairly dry. Sweet and bitter to mouth.

Comments: Like Anchor IPA, this one has strong Munich malt influence for that typical Bock maltyness, but with all the heavy hops, its aroma and taste is strangely devoid of fruits, only strong spice, resin ooze, lemon and bitterness to match the strong sweetness, with partial success. Quite drinkable, if only the missing fruity hops elements can be filled in. Okay.

Pours amber with a big white head. Aroma of pine and citrus. Taste has a medium sweetness, caramel, and citrus. This bottle sat in the back of my cellar for four years, so I’m sure the hops have been affected. Nonetheless, this was delicious and I can say that it ages very nicely. Medium mouthfeel.

Bottle. BB: 31:07:15. Pours a hazy amber colour with a foamy white head. Aroma of caramel, honey, pine, some toasted nuts and spaghetti. Taste of caramel, nuts, resin, some bready malt, slight leather, subtle grapefruit and a little spicy hop. Medium bodied and an oily texture. A dry, resinous hop bitterness in the finish. A very malty, nutty IPA with a resinous, slightly citrusy hop bitterness. It’s very different to most American IPAs but unique and tasty overall. Maybe not ideal for its style but decent.

Pours copper with a full, sticky head and lacing. Aroma is citrus, pine, lemon, and honey. Taste is somewhat malty for an IPA; with citrus and honey also present, along with a decent, lingering bitterness. Not my favorite Deschutes offering; but certainly not a bad beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This pours a semi-clear, brown color with a slight head. The aroma is fairly malty for being an IPA. The taste is slightly bitter with a well balanced flavor that does leave a lingering bitterness on the tongue. Pretty well made with decent flavor.

A 12 fl oz bottle with a best by date of 11th November 2015 and poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass. It poured a clear copper amber colour. There was a huge three finger light tan head that had good retention and left plenty of stringy lacing. Strong piney and grassy aromas with hints of citrus lemon zest. There is also some light caramel malts and apple juice there. Taste is bready and caramel malts upfront followed by plenty of pine and hop bitterness. Also hints of apple juice and grapefruit in between and a long lasting bitter finish. Medium bodied with light carbonation. This was a good IPA if not stunning although I prefer more carbonation. But Fresh Squeezed is still my go to IPA from Deschutes.
