Enter, if you will, all the glorious aromatic complexity of the hop. This big, bold IPA’s intense multi-hop kick gets a subtle dose of restraint from select Crystal and Carastan malts. For discriminating hop heads.

Love this ipa. Bitter but not harsh, everytime i drink it i think of orange peel french toast for some reason, which is not something you would normally associate with an ipa. Definately on the sweet side, but its a complex sweetness. If you like malty sweet ipas its worth seeking out, if you dont you should try it anyway, you might be surprised.

Pours copper with a full, sticky head and lacing. Aroma is citrus, pine, lemon, and honey. Taste is somewhat malty for an IPA; with citrus and honey also present, along with a decent, lingering bitterness. Not my favorite Deschutes offering; but certainly not a bad beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This pours a semi-clear, brown color with a slight head. The aroma is fairly malty for being an IPA. The taste is slightly bitter with a well balanced flavor that does leave a lingering bitterness on the tongue. Pretty well made with decent flavor.

A 12 fl oz bottle with a best by date of 11th November 2015 and poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass. It poured a clear copper amber colour. There was a huge three finger light tan head that had good retention and left plenty of stringy lacing. Strong piney and grassy aromas with hints of citrus lemon zest. There is also some light caramel malts and apple juice there. Taste is bready and caramel malts upfront followed by plenty of pine and hop bitterness. Also hints of apple juice and grapefruit in between and a long lasting bitter finish. Medium bodied with light carbonation. This was a good IPA if not stunning although I prefer more carbonation. But Fresh Squeezed is still my go to IPA from Deschutes.

Bottle at home. Pours clear copper with a large, frothy off-white head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is honey and biscuit malt with citrus and pine hops. Flavor is moderate citrus and pine hops and bitterness, pear esters, biscuit malt and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Pours a rich amber with a large caramel head. Light hops aroma with hints of citrus. Medium sweetness with a light bitter. Light to medium body with a somewhat crisp finish. This is a bit different from what I expect from an IPA, but it’s a welcome difference.

BB 24/09/15. Poured a clear orangey dark amber with over a two-finger head of beige dense sudsy foam that retained OK and laced OK. Carbonation low and fine. Aroma subtly of pine, citrus/grapefruit followed by caramel; the dense head obscured the aroma. Taste of grapefruit and subtle malt with a moderate bitterness. Light body. Crisp, refreshing, slightly dry and with a nice lingering bitterness. OK.

Dark reddish pour with no head. Aroma of earth and dirt. Medium mouth. Taste has hints of stone fruit. Dry finish, super bitter. Ok, but kind of one note.

12oz bottle, poured into a snifter. The aroma is a mellow pine and resin combination initially, with sappy, floral honey undertones, followed by a bright and sweet citrus and caramel. The beer pours a rich, slightly murky caramel color topped by a tan, dense soap head that retains an abundant scattered soapiness and leaves plenty of messy lace. The taste is a medium high sweet and medium bitter. It’s oily and malty texture has a slick foam carbonation. The medium body is light roasted in character with with a wood tone, molasses, and nuts. The finish is smooth and syrupy with a clean woody spice. It’s aftertaste is mild with a nutty tone with cooked molasses, or more of a lightly burnt syrup, with a hint of tart citrus.

Grassy floral aroma in a cloudy amber copper pour. Impressive hop forward flavour is balanced by a chewy malty body and a sustained bitter finish.
