phildorsey (42), Fort Lewis, Washington, USA Oct 24, 2009 12 oz. Bottle. Pours pale/amber and clear with little to no froth. Smells of citrus, resin and lemons. A moderate bitterness is present during the swallow, the finish is fizzy and thin but very tasteful. The perfect IPA, the taste is complex and diverse. High recommendation. buddahmind (39), Boise, Idaho, USA Sep 20, 2007 My current favorite brand of my favorite style. I like this beer...a little too much. I could go on and on about its balance and beauty and big fat smack of ecstacy but I’ll just say, "BUY IT!" If you can’t buy it. I’m truly sorry. unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA Aug 9, 2006 Had this beer on CASK at HORSEBRASS PUB in Portland, OR. Amber color, casking creates beautiful lacing on the glass. Maple notes in the nose. "Aged" cedar aroma and bright floral hops. bitter, bitter, bitter, I want to homebrew a beer just like this one. Cascade? kenb (1100), Oregon, USA Aug 22, 2006 Updated: Aug 5, 2009On tap at Mac’s Place. Good Size head. Amber/Orange color. Sweet hoppiness up front. Bittersweet dry grapefruit finish and aftertaste. Tons of grapefruit and a little pine in this one, the malts are barely noticeable. Bitter finish ahd aftertaste. Medium bodied. Pretty tasty and refreshing IPA. CaptAnkeny (14), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA May 3, 2008 A very hoppy, tasty West Coast IPA, my favorite type. One of the better, if not the best IPA, available in a bottle in Las Vegas.
Plenty of kick and fruity/Hoppy after-taste.
Very enjoyable. rthbass (27), Vancouver, Washington, USA Aug 17, 2008 On tap at Deschutes brewery in Portland.
EXCELLENT! Delicious hop profile. IBU’s for days while still maintaining a great malt backbone. Great mouth feel and lacing. One of my favorite IPA’s! MrRoss (614), Delta, British Columbia, Canada Jul 13, 2009 For some reason I just really, really like this beer. Started with a foamy white head, slight in size, above a body of brilliant and clear dark amber. Hops a plenty in the aroma, and a pleasure it was to inhale this heavenly scent. Taste was marvellously hopped and bitter without being crazy, accompanied by a slightly ’sharp’ mouthfeel. Finished smooth. craftbeerdesign (731), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA Dec 20, 2008 bottle on 11 27 08. pours a deep golden with a 1 finger head. big citrus and caramel aromas. nice and bitter over the palate with a long hoppy finish. huge full body with a very solid balance of hops and malts. bitter up front, soft on the sides, with caramel on the finish. overall excellent full bodied IPA.
