3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz bottle poured at home. Aroma is great -- strong, pungent pine and resin hops, some citrus zest notes, and a hint of sweetness. Definitely one of the more aromatic IPA’s I’ve had lately. It’s a good looking brew; hazy and translucent, deep amber in color. Great hop flavors -- especially the resin hops -- and sweetbread malts keep this beer lightly weighted and well balanced. There’s something about the palate that quarrels with me . . . the carbonation’s effervescence builds steadily, which I liked . . . but there’s something slightly metallic about the mouthfeel which detracts from the experience. Overall a good summer night beer with great potential, just needs some tweaks.

Overflowed the bottle on opening. Doubt it’s meant to be so gassy. Very bitter throughout and lingers. Didn’t particularly enjoy it. Shame as it was a beautiful rich brown IPA

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pub glass today. Best by 09.29.15. A: Sweet pine, orange rind, and caramel. Very nice. Not harsh at all. A: 1 finger fluffy head with nice lacing after it recedes a a thinner layer of fluff. See through red with bubbles streaming up. T: Sweet pine, bready malt, and candied tropical fruit dominate. Flower and orange rind are subtle. P: Crisp and clean with a little bit of resin. O: This is a perfectly balanced, easy drinking IPA. Thank the beer gods for Deschutes.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours an amber-red color with a one finger head of fizzy off white foam. The head fades rather rapidly, leaving just a trace of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer is lighter overall with the heaviest of the aromas being that of a pine smell and some caramel. Other smells of a grass and a bit of grapefruit are there as well.
Taste – Upfront the taste is bready and malty with a moderate showing of a caramel sweetness and flavors of a pine hop. As the taste advances the pine gets stronger while the bready taste takes on a slightly more roasted flavor in nature. The roast and the pine continue increasing as the caramel fades a bit, being replaced by more hop flavors of an earthy and grapefruit nature. In the end with the transitions that have transpired, one is left with a decently bitter and moderately roasty IPA flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is thicker and chewier then normal with a slightly lower carbonation level. Overall the feel was pretty good, with it accentuating the hop tastes rather well.
Overall – A rather tasty IPA with a slightly more dank hop and roasty character. Fairly good overall.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Aroma is complex mix of malty bread, floral and resinous hops and yeasty dough. Appearance is clear, dark brown with nice 2 finger-width beige head, minimal lacing. Taste is like aroma with the floral, resinous bitter hops dominating the malt and yeast but definitely a mix. Palate is light-to-medium body with average carbonation and long mildly bitter finish. Overall, nice complexity here which is nice, a little bit too far to the bitter side for me to truly enjoy but others should love it.

Bottle thanks to Sigmund. Beige head to a cloudy dark orange coloured body. Spiced malt-fruity nose. Soft flavours of orange and apricot together with caramel mats. Resinous bitterness to the ending. Foamy in the mouth. Nice. (Tomsø 23.06.2015).

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a clear brownish copper. Nice latte-like head that dissipates extremely slowly, leaving chunky lacing. Piney/ resinous hops and toffee in the nose. Medium body. Wow. This is a malty beer. Delicious lightly toasted honey wheat bread front and center, followed by hops bursting with tropical fruit and pine. Finishes slightly sweet with lingering pine. Really tasty IPA.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Saveur-Biere.fr, smuggled into the cinema and drunk whilst watching a very disappointing film. This was alright though. Decent fruity, hoppy floral character. Very hop-forward. Not bad.
