Commercial Description:
Jubelale is classified as a "Strong Ale" or an "English Olde Ale," and has ties to the traditional Celebration Ales of England. Characterized by a very large malt body and pronounced bitterness, Jubelale contains five different varieties of hops and a healthy amount of caramel. The perfect ale for surviving the long, cold nights of winter. Our tradition is having a different local artist design our Jubelale label & packaging each year. October - December - draft and bottles

great nose of fruit cake, sweet malt, and caramel. Flavouris very bready, with a touch of spice. Reminds me of a spicy fruit cake. some slight hops in the finish with a medium bitterness.

12oz bottle, Courtesy of BrewDad, Thanks!!! I was rather taken aback by this brew, expecting nothing more than a traditional winter ale with honey and spices i found a nice dark ale, with lots of dark caramel and a nice hidden bitterness lending iteself to dark cold evenings... this is actually quite a treat.

Bottle. Pours brown with gleaming, red highlights shining through. A nice foamy tan head sits atop the beer, and leaves dripping wet lacing on the glass. Aroma is healthy, with ripe fruit and molasses. Some pine characteristics, too. Strong malt presence in the flavor. Chocolate, molasses, and a backbone of caramel. Nice floral hoppy finish. There’s a noticeable coffee-like after-taste, too. Quite enjoyable. Medium-bodied, bitter hop finish. Drinkable, and definitely a beer to enjoy in winter.

One of the better winter warmers of the year. Full flavor, well balanced, and pretty good mouthfeel.

(Bottle (2007) via trade with <A HREF=http://www.ratebeer.com/ViewUser.asp?UserID=33417 target=blank>TheCheeseMan, thanks Daniel!) Caramel and hops...Pours clear darkish auburn with four fingers of frothy biege head. Aroma of egg, vanilla, caramel and pine. Mouthfeel quite full, fairly smooth. Lots of spotty, patchy lacing. Flavor of malty caramel and vanilla with a nice piney bitterness overlaying - probably hoppier than normal for the style. Caramel has a slightly toasted quality. Nice warming alcohol presence. Good.
