Commercial Description:
Jubelale is classified as a "Strong Ale" or an "English Olde Ale," and has ties to the traditional Celebration Ales of England. Characterized by a very large malt body and pronounced bitterness, Jubelale contains five different varieties of hops and a healthy amount of caramel. The perfect ale for surviving the long, cold nights of winter. Our tradition is having a different local artist design our Jubelale label & packaging each year. October - December - draft and bottles

Interesting beer. Sweet nose, mildly fruity and floral. Dry finish, with a full mouthfeel. Lightly fruity and rich caramel malt flavor, some hop bitterness. Low carbonation.

Pours brown with a tan head. Smells of ripe fruit, earth, some spice and chocolate. Tastes of cherries, raisins, some earthy flavor and hints of spice. Mouthfeel is rich with a tea like finish.

Smells a little like coffee, and sweetness. Fairly dark (opaque), brownish-orange color and pours with a thin head. Tastes fairly sweet but the flavor is not overpowering. Also it is malty and woody or piny tasting. The finish is somewhat overpowering, and I can’t tell if the finish is from hops or if they added pine needles to the recipe. Overall, quite delicious.

Pours dark but translucent. Medium head. Taste chocolate, slight coffee, and a bit of citrus rind hops. Well rounded malty mouth feel. Too bad this very good beer is not an "all-weather" type ale.

’07 Bottle: Amber in color with little to no head. Sweet fruit, apple, light malt and floral hops on the nose. Refreshing malty apple flavor with a dry hop finish. Good stuff

I look forward to this beer all year long, and when the holidays come around I do my part to keep the brewer in business. That said, it seems like every year it’s less robust than I remember the year before. Maybe I’m projecting memories of holiday cheer into the beer, but it never seems to live up to what I remember. Nonetheless, it’s a wonderful quaff that fills my whole mouth with flavor.

Pours deep mahogany with brown hioghlights and a thin tan head. Nutty, roasted malt aroma, with a bit of spice (nutmeg? cinnamon?). Flat mouthfeel. A truckload of caramel malt lingers throughout, which the hops have the fight through. Some coffee and roasted malt. It really keeps true to a English Strong Ale without falling into the ESB category.

Deep and solid amber/ruby red. Candy or Fruity presence in aroma. At an alcohol % lower than 7% I am surprised and confused about how prevalent it is through out. Wish they would mask it just a little more.
