Commercial Description:
Jubelale is classified as a "Strong Ale" or an "English Olde Ale," and has ties to the traditional Celebration Ales of England. Characterized by a very large malt body and pronounced bitterness, Jubelale contains five different varieties of hops and a healthy amount of caramel. The perfect ale for surviving the long, cold nights of winter. Our tradition is having a different local artist design our Jubelale label & packaging each year. October - December - draft and bottles

Much better than other "winter warmers" I’ve had this year. Strong malt taste. Hops. When English "strong ales" are rich in flavor like American strong ales (but without the heavy taste), then we get something like this one. A very good beer.

Pours mahogany with a great looking tan head. Aroma is caramel, malt, hint of toastiness, plum and mild spiciness. Flavor is sweet, decent amount of fruits and malt, giving way to more hints of bitter and spice. It’s pretty well balanced for a winter ale. It’s not crazy, radical or shocking. It’s just a great winter ale. I’d definitely purchase this again.

bottle. i once knew a Jubel Cain. now i’ve known a jubelale. maroon brown body with a nice lasting head. sugary caramel nose with lots of plum and raisin, a bit bready. tin slightly tart sweet flavor, marshmallow, red grape. damn this washes down a burrito well. grahame cracker note that’s nice. something slightly burnt in the finish. flat cherry dirtiness finishes. a good old ale. 4 6 7 4 15

Pours almost as dark as a porter with a 2-finger tan head. Slight lacing. Smells of malt, caramel, alcohol and maybe a hint of stone fruit. Flavor is coffee, caramel, then a hoppy dry finish. Nice medium-full body with soft carbonation. Best winter ale this side of Grand Carolus Noel that I’ve tried

Pours deep brown with foamy tanhead. Nose is malty. Flavor is roasted malt, dry, with some molasses and sugar. Dry, clean finish. Good beer

2007. dark cherry wood colored with a small off white head. aroma is brown sugar, caramel malts, hay and piney hops. nice sweet malty flavor...brown sugar and piney hops again, nuttiness and a lightly bitter dry herbal finish. medium in body and carbonation.

Pours a clear rose color with a tan head. The aroma is a malty caramel sweetness with a touch of spice. It tastes incredible. Sweet and spicy, very well balanced. Good medium body. Great beer. I wish I could get it every time of year.
