Lots of caramels mixed with orange hops on the aroma. Plenty of grains and malt on the palate with a spiced background. Again, caramel. in my quest to try holiday beers. This one is brown, with a modest head. Smells of hops and malts. It is not overly sweet, malty and a hint of vanilla perhaps.
Nice beer, but actually not too different from say a Lost Coast Winterbraun. Saarlander (1577), Rancho Cucamonga, California, USA
