Commercial Description:
Jubelale is classified as a "Strong Ale" or an "English Olde Ale," and has ties to the traditional Celebration Ales of England. Characterized by a very large malt body and pronounced bitterness, Jubelale contains five different varieties of hops and a healthy amount of caramel. The perfect ale for surviving the long, cold nights of winter. Our tradition is having a different local artist design our Jubelale label & packaging each year. October - December - draft and bottles

12 ounce bottle courtesy of beerbill. Thanks! Pours a brownish red color with a large tan head. Good head retention and lacing. Big banana aroma with lots of spice and some bread. Taste is caramel, spice (ginger, nutmeg), bitter hops and banana. Full bodied

Bottle from S&K Beverages in Plano, TX. Pours a very nice looking dark, clear brown, orange hues, thick beige head. Aroma of fruit and hops, malt. Flavor is malty, lots of fruit, herbal & spicey pine, hoppy bitter, some alcohol. Over all, not bad.

Draft, dry hop and smoked malt taste is most dominant. It is accompanied with a slightly sweet caramel taste. Good but not my favorite winter ale.

This dark brown ale poured with a nice beige head and a fruity malt aroma. There is a lot of treacle in the flavor along with some interesting spices. There is a good blend of malt and hops, resulting in a rather tasty brew.

Well, Im glad I tried this one. I am not a huge fan of the winter beer/celebration style, but the flavors here are subtle. I could do without the mild spicey flavor, but that is more my problem with the style itself than this particular beer. Overall, a very drinkable beer.

Draught at the red. Dark amber with a small head. Malty, caramel aroma. Caramel and nutty malt body, with a bit of tea and a healthy spicy and piney hop bitterness. Medium bodied with smooth carbonation. Decent malty amber ale, a bit thin for an English strong, but goes down easily.

07 large caramel aroma very light hop aroma. Deep amber pour with creamy tan head and lace. Caramel almost reminds me of molasses as well. Some spiciness there as well. A medium finishing bitter that fades to a semi sweet after taste. A bit thin with almost creamy carbonation. A pretty solid holiday beer.
