Commercial Description:
Jubelale is classified as a "Strong Ale" or an "English Olde Ale," and has ties to the traditional Celebration Ales of England. Characterized by a very large malt body and pronounced bitterness, Jubelale contains five different varieties of hops and a healthy amount of caramel. The perfect ale for surviving the long, cold nights of winter. Our tradition is having a different local artist design our Jubelale label & packaging each year. October - December - draft and bottles

12 oz bottle. For the style, it’s not bad but maybe I don’t care for the style. Body is thinner than it should be. Taste is light caramel and hoppy.

Bottle courtesy of BrewDad! 2006 Vintage. Pours a deep copper with a slight haze about it. Sturdy tan foam on the surface. Nose is spicy, fruity, hoppy, floral, and has hints of toffee. Taste brings out sweet malts, fruit cake, spices (cinnamon, nutmeg), spicy hops, caramel, and chewy malts. Maybe even some pine notes to this. The body wants to be chewy but comes across a thinner. Creamy carbonation and a lingering spicy and hoppy bitterness. Finishes with more spicy hops, spices, caramel, light toffee and light citrus.

12 oz bottle. 2006 vintage. Poured a hazy brown color with orange highlights. Attractive aroma of molasses, plum, and raisin. Slightly sweet on the tongue and medium bodied. Tasted of light molasses, toffee, crushed pine needles, and dark fruits. Well suited for colder months.

2006 vintage. In the bottle from Wilbur’s. Dark brown with a super creamy head that pours much more like concrete than beer foam. Aroma has a great scent of aromatic hops yielding a pine forest/citrus-like aroma. Smooth for a 6.7% abv ale. Biggest thing to note is the monstrous fruity flavor. This is like drinking a can of fruit cocktail. The finish hangs a long roasty bitterness on the tongue long after you are done with the beer. Really liked this much better than the first time that I had it when I rated it a 3.4!

2008 Bottle. Pours with a light brown, smallish head that leaves decent lacing, and a clearish, dark amber body. Aroma of caramel, dark fruits, plums and some brandy (essence, not alocohol). Taste is bitter with wood, some nutts, toffee and slightly metalic. Creamish mouthfeel, light bubbles.

Bottle. Mahogony beer with a light beige head. Spicey aroma with some hops. Spicey flavor with some caramel and roasty malts and resiny/citrus hops. Nicely balanced - though some may put it a bit on the hoppy side.

Bottle at Burger Bar in Las Vegas. The beer is a mostly clear reddish-amber color with a medium and foamy light tan head that recedes slowly. Rings of lacing. Caramel malt aroma with some piney hops too. Medium body with flavors of dark fruit, burnt malt, and hops. The finish is moderately bitter with a hoppy aftertaste with a light caramel undertone. Pretty good overall.
