COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Jubelale is classified as a "Strong Ale" or an "English Olde Ale," and has ties to the traditional Celebration Ales of England. Characterized by a very large malt body and pronounced bitterness, Jubelale contains five different varieties of hops and a healthy amount of caramel. The perfect ale for surviving the long, cold nights of winter. Our tradition is having a different local artist design our Jubelale label & packaging each year. October - December - draft and bottles

To me this is a Brown Ale as it looks and tastes that way. Great rich flavor of chocolate, carmel, toffee and roasted malt. Thick rich head that lasts a long time. I look forward to anything Deschutes puts out, seasonal or otherwise.

Serving glass: Poured from bottle into Nonic Imperial Pint. Appearance: Rich reddish-brown with moderate tan head and some nice lacing. Aroma: Caramel, cherry, toast and spicy English hops. Taste: Caramel and wintry spice are dominant (even though no spices were added, must be the hops), with some cherry and fruity undertones. The strong spicy English hops build on the finish, and it becomes quite bitter. Great complexity from both malts and hops. Palate: Moderate carbonation, somewhat creamy medium to full body, very dry finish. Overall: Very good example of an English Strong Ale that has been ramped up on hops. The spicy, floral English hop bitterness is just slightly off-putting but this is still a very good, complex beer for the winter.

Pub Pint Glass. Aroma: caramel, cereal, dough. Color: brown, red, tan foam. Taste/Palate: medium bitterness, medium sweetness, full body, creamy, bitter, long finish. A great winter seasonal; this year I’m trying to drink my way through the best Northwest US winter seasonals--this ranks top amongst them. Next up Full Sail’s Wassail!

Velvety, malty, toasty and roasty. Appearance is amber in color, thick with a small one finger head. Super smooth and delicious. Outstanding winter brew.

Pours a burnt orange to amber hue with a big, latte colored creamy head that wants to hold on. Smells of spicy malts, clean caramel, dark fruits, smells terrific - couldn’t get enough and ended up with a big blob of that creamy head on my nose. This is not normally a style that gets much of my appreciation but this is great, lovely malts and that milky layer of head floats in to add to a near perfect mouthfeel, it’s like a milkshake without the milk, or the shake for that matter. Just goes to show that you can’t judge a book by it’s cover, a style of beer can vary greatly and I seem to have forgotten that, I’d highly recommend this.

No complaints here. Mm-mmm!! Tthis is one tasty burg . . . uh, beer! Quite a bit like a couple I had at the recent Holiday Ale Fest. Quite dark-fruity/tangy, sweet and malty; raisin-bready nose. The only weak point is a bit of wateriness in the finish. A fine addition to the holiday season lineup.

I liked it, but it’s not my favorite seasonal of Northwest beer.

Pours a dark reddish brown with a thick creamy tan head that hangs on forever and laces nicely. caramel malt aromas, with some citrus in the background . Flavors are sweet malty, citrusy, bitter, spicy. Nice long spicy bitersweet finish.
