Commercial Description:
Jubelale is classified as a "Strong Ale" or an "English Olde Ale," and has ties to the traditional Celebration Ales of England. Characterized by a very large malt body and pronounced bitterness, Jubelale contains five different varieties of hops and a healthy amount of caramel. The perfect ale for surviving the long, cold nights of winter. Our tradition is having a different local artist design our Jubelale label & packaging each year. October - December - draft and bottles

Quite malty. Great beer in the beginning, but the finish is a bit thin and watery. Therefore it lacks complexity, which would make it much better.

Light on the malt with a slight bitter aftertaste. Brew had a decent head and light evergreen aroma.

RAF: Deep amber with a hoppy nose. Good malt/hop balance. Very drinkable and refreshing. Citrus, moderate bitterness. A decent brew.

Bottle. Mahogony beer with a light beige head. Spicey aroma with some hops. Spicey flavor with some caramel and roasty malts and resiny/citrus hops. Nicely balanced - though some may put it a bit on the hoppy side.

Ruby color with off white head. Straw, fruit cocktail, cocoa in the nose. Sweet fruit, malty, pine flavors, complex and tasty for sure but a bit overcarbonated for me.

Poured a clear deep amber color with a beige head. Light notes of chocolate and a hint of coffee. Mildly sweet. The flavor was of roasted malt with a light spice on the finish.

From notes taken at the Southwest Beer Festival in Scottsdale, Arizona. The conditions were hard to take notes in but these are the ratings and they stand. Draft. Rich malty and hoppy aroma. Dark and clear brown in color. Flavor is very malty with a slight alcohol warmth. Malty and lightly hopped finish. Good stuff.

Re-rate: Aroma is full of dark malt and lightly sweetened chocolate with a hint the hops to come. Flavor is caramelly rich and malty but balanced by a decent amount of hop bitterness with hints of that grapefruity hoppiness in the finish. Really nice stuff. The original rating stands.
