COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Jubelale is classified as a "Strong Ale" or an "English Olde Ale," and has ties to the traditional Celebration Ales of England. Characterized by a very large malt body and pronounced bitterness, Jubelale contains five different varieties of hops and a healthy amount of caramel. The perfect ale for surviving the long, cold nights of winter. Our tradition is having a different local artist design our Jubelale label & packaging each year. October - December - draft and bottles

Bottle from 09. Pours a dirty brown color with a tan head. Has a sweet malt smell to it. Has a caramel, malt and slight bitterness in the end. Overall not a bad beer I’d drink it again

Gotta love tht deep red color, a beautiful beer. Slightly hazy though. Smells sweet and you can smell a bit of alcohol. First taste is sweet but not overpowering. Slightly bitter and at the end you can taste the alcohol. This year is not as good as the previous years brew, but still respectable. This beer is medium bodied and would go great with a steak i do believe. Worth a buy and i will continue to travel 45 mins to buy it every year.

On tap at Churchhills. Deep murky purple pour. Creamy beige head. Lacing stayed forever. Aromas of roasty chocolate, heavy malt. Taste was a balance mix of dark fruit, whiskey, black chery and dr pepper. Cool beer.

From notes. Pours a rich redish murky brown with a thick creamy tan head that leaves beautiful lacing. Nice sweet aroma, dark fruit, spices, cinnamon, clove, some dark roasted malt and sweet malt hold it all together. Very similar to the nose, the flavor is malty with plenty of spice, mostly cinnamon with a little brown sugar. Solid medium body with a charming medium-light carbonation that really compliments everything going on without getting in front of the flavors.

Dark red brown with a nice offwhite head that fades to leave a thick lacing. Sweet smell of malt with a fair amount of spices. Just a hint of hops at the end. Taste starts off malty and sweet and finishes suprisingly hoppy. Well balanced beer.

Bottle at Amsterdam Cafe SFBW ’12. Pours clear ruby amber with a fluffy off-white head. The smell is tons of red fruit, a slightly floral and spiced character as well as a caramel sweetness. Taste reminds me of fresh doughy bread dough... redundancy. There’s some hop bitterness in there as well. Some grassiness, light fig, and an interesting hint of allspice. Mouth feel is medium, the finish is slightly astringent and spicy. No alcohol whatsoever.

Pours a burnt orange to amber hue with a big, latte colored creamy head that wants to hold on. Smells of spicy malts, clean caramel, dark fruits, smells terrific - couldn’t get enough and ended up with a big blob of that creamy head on my nose. This is not normally a style that gets much of my appreciation but this is great, lovely malts and that milky layer of head floats in to add to a near perfect mouthfeel, it’s like a milkshake without the milk, or the shake for that matter. Just goes to show that you can’t judge a book by it’s cover, a style of beer can vary greatly and I seem to have forgotten that, I’d highly recommend this.

10 feb 2012, bottle. Dark brown/red, clear. Tart caramel, malty alcohol. Thin/med body and fizzy. Chocolate and grassy hops. Works pretty well. Some burnt notes. Nice for an all around med/heavy ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
