COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Hop Season is HERE!! The first of the season Centennial hops (some of the largest whole hops we have ever seen) fresh from 3D Hop Farm in Woodburn were added into the boil a little less than two hours after being picked. The resulting ale has a wonderful fresh pine aroma laced with a slight citrus backbone. Three types of crystal malt balance this classic pale ale, allowing the hops to show their true colors. On tap at Portland location a couple months ago. Pours orange brouwn with off white clings. Aromas of pine, grass, some grapefruit. Doesn’t taste quite as good as it smells. Needs more carbonation. Slightly bitter finish.

Draught at Deschutes Brewery and Public House in Portland. Dark amber color with a fruity nose. Very fruity flavor, with grape and a touch of tropical fruit. Interesting and unique fruit character with restrained bitterness and some tobacco, chocolate. Slightly earthy and grassy too. Interesting fresh hop character.

A sharp fresh hop presence gives off pine, citrus, and extremely floral aromas. Like chewing a big green hop. This isn’t exactly balanced, its just about the hops here. I like it a lot, but I’m not sure that others would find this quite as appealing.
