Draught @ Deschutes Portland:   Heavy amber, slightly muddy, thin whispy white head, spotty lacing.   Nose smells of clove and banana.   Hmmm... German influence?   Otherwise its bready, yeasty, with some basement funk.   Similar tongue, with a stronger hop aspect that I didn’t expect.   Warming, some noticeable alcohol.   Sweet, tangy, with a soft Belgian Dubbel like backside.   A little perfumy, otherwise alcohol jumps out at ya.   Body and mothfeel are moderate to full.   Very carbonated... *burp*   Citrus peel makes an appearance.   Not bad, a little different that’s for sure.   American Belgian meets a soft IPA.

On tap at the Portland brewery. Honey colored with a thin head and few bubbles. Aromas of caramel and slight biscuit malt. Smooth, with some floral hops and a peppery, bitter finish. More flavor than I expected from a pale ale. Pleasantly surprised.

On Tap at the PDX BP. Hayz golden light orange with just a film ofa off white head.Nuce citrusy tangerine nose. Light and bright citrus hopglavor. Naltsare there but complimetary. Nicely balanced pale.

Tap @ NW Pub... Poured a pale amber/red with a beige head. Floral and hoppy aroma. Sweet, hop flavor. Quite sessionable and sweeter quality to make the brew more accessible.

Tap at Deschutes: Pours a pale golden color with a finger of beige head. Light florals and citrus nose. Some sweetness is present, but mostly hoppy and dry. Tastes sweeter with citrus and caramel. The florals take the backseat here. A softer version of the style for sure. Seemingly a pub favorite on this day for many visitors.
