Another experimental golden ale, with the same base recipe as the Tamarack Gold, but with a different type of experimental hop. Again, comments are much appreciated. IBU’s 33 Alcohol by Vol. 4.7%

On tap at Porland taphouse early 2009. Clear golden w/ medium head. Light citrus and slightly soapy hops. Lit brweady malts. OK.

On tap at the Portland pub. Pours out a light golden color with a small fizzy white head. Very floral aroma with a bit of grain to it. Flavor is heavily malt but with a slight floral hop bite in the finish. Okay, but nothing to write home about.

On tap at the PDX Deschutes pub. Soft lighter gold color, good clarity, small white head. I didn’t get as much floralness out of the hops in this one compared to the Tamarack, slightly more green and sharp bitterness. Malts give a soft honey and slightly grainy note. I preferred the Tamarack.

Tap @ their Portland Public House... Poured golden/orange with a white head. Subtle, grainy and floral aroma. Just like their Tamarack Gold but with a little more bitterness and stronger hop content; which was a plus in comparison.

Clear golden color with thin white head. Aroma of dried flowers. Mild background of hoppy bitterness, medium bodied, bitter finish lingers a bit. Drinkable.
