Way too sweet for me. Reminds me of an aged Dogfish 120......................................

The color is an opaque reddish brown with a small white head that fades quickly. The aroma blends lots of booze with fig, caramel malts, and hints of oak and earthiness, and the taste is quite boozy, mildly bitter, slightly sour, and slightly sweet. The aftertaste also has lots of booze, but the malty sweetness is more apparent than in the initial flavor. The palate has an oily texture, soft carbonation, and a medium body.

Shared bomber to Duvel glasses. Huge long lasting creamy tan head. Aroma of dark fruitiness and a little alcohol. Sticky sweetness that you can’t seem to lick from your gums no matter how hard you try. Velvety smooth. Brown sugar.

Really good. The aroma is sweet burnt sugar with some old oaken basement notes. The taste is lots of raisins, burnt caramel and a bit of lathery sweetness. Finish is a bit of a burn that is almost smooth--my only wish is that it was a little smoother. Perhaps with age youngling.

Bottle. Brown pour with some ruby hues and a light khaki head. Aromas of dark fruits, oak, and wine barrel. Flavor is sweet malt and dark fruits upfront with nice wine and oak notes shining through. Slight booziness in the finish but with some age this should be wonderful. As is still very nice.

Bottle. Pours brown with deep red hues and light tan head. Aroma is breast, lots of caramel, sweet, figgy. Taste is intense, sweet finish, touch of hop bitterness upfront, very malt driven, lots of caramel throughout, lots of fig and raisin. Medium to full bodied, velvety. Overall, very good.
