4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber from Bev4Less. Pours coppery red and brown, decent white foam and BIG aroma of caramel and red wine. Taste is also very appealing, all the wonder of a great, sweet, bitey barleywine with the compliments of the wine barrel complexities. Wonderful. Wish it were cheaper, cuz that would make me drink more.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at a barley wine tasting, 2014 vintage. This one pours a mostly clear amber color. Nose has a fair amount of caramel to it. Taste is slightly sweet, and finishes quite smoothly. Nice brew.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber. Pours a deep coppery amber with a medium sized beige head. Aroma of dates, figs, candied malt and sugary notes. Taste of figs, candied sugar, caramel malts, dates and tiny hints of wood barrels. Light detection of alcohol in the warm finish.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 11/20
Aromas of dark fruit, caramel, and perhaps hints of oak. A moderately hazy, dark copper pour with a thin off-white ring and no lacing. The taste is caramel, roasted fruit, oak, with suggestions of molasses and tobacco. Some alchocol is present. A long satisfying aftertaste. Medium body and medium carbonation. Overall, somewhat sweet up front giving way to a rich roasty quality. This brew has more character than Deep Ellum’s Numb Confort or Saint Arnold’s 20th Annivsary Ale offering.

Excellent after dinner barley wine served on tap at Taphouse Grill in Seattle. Definitely a sipping beer that was my desert for the night.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Clear ruby-amber-brown with a beige head. Aroma of raisins, caramel, sweet cake, toffee, and wine barrel. Taste is full of sweet dark fruits; very desert-like, with nice bitterness and woodiness, and very little booze character. Medium-full bodied, somewhat light carbonation. Very well balanced. Amazing stuff.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a deep, hazy chestnut brown with a fairly dense head. Aroma is woodiness, raisins, sweet maltiness. Taste is very smooth with fair mouthfeel, fruitiness, wine notes and raisins continue in the taste, sweet with slight boozy notes in the end. Quite a nicely built brew.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours dark with hints of amber and small head. Great sweet aroma with hints of wine. The mouth feel on this Barleywine is perfect, so smooth. The ABV is hidden well. Great taste and palate. Overall one of my favorite Barleywines.
