The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, caramel, and malt, leading to a dry straw finish. A very special thanks goes out to my mystery friend at the Hood River Hops Fest who gave me this.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 fiulijn (10407) - Como, ITALY - JUN 28, 2011
Vintage 2009, 2 years old Dark brown color, hazy; medium-sized creamy head. Strong malt aroma, with vanilla oak, but also a delicate fruity touch. Full bodied, with a round mouthfeel; strong caramel and toffee flavor, well sweet, but not cloying; the vanilla/oak character is moderate, well complementing the malts; there is a light nutty touch; correct bitterness level, probably faded in 2 years of aging; instead the alcohol is clearly perceived, providing a warming feeling and a mean of cutting the malt. Very good.
