This is base camp, where any craft brew exploration begins. A distinct hop nose and hop-forward flavor make Mirror Pond the quintessential Pale Ale. It is aromatically complex, multi-layered, and unmistakably “right.”

It's ok. Nothing special about it. Kind of a bad aftertaste. Not much of a pale ale fan anyway.

Delicious, almost perfect Amber color. Tastes great and leaves a clean palate. But bitter, not heavy. This beer defines the term "ale"

12 oz bottle served in a cheater pint. Pours light orangish golden with medium thick off-white head. Aroma is light caramel malt with faint sweet, earthy, oaky notes. Just a hint of hops on the back. Taste is clean juicy caramel malt, with light crisp hops to balance. Pine and citrus notes present. Impressively malty and flavorful for a relatively low abv. One of my favorite pale ales, and easily an archetype for the style.

Dark golden amber. Biscuit malt, citrus nose, and a touch of juiciness. It has craftsmanship, but it’s not for me.

Draft: Yellow-amber with a short off-white head. Light caramel, fruit scent. Taste has a hint of vanilla, leafy hops, caramel. Nice, but not remarkable.

From 341 ml bottle. Pours a clear honey-amber with a small white head that lasts as a collar. Light carbonation. Aromas of apple, pear, flowers, passion fruit, lemon and orange. Taste is crisp fruit (apple and white grape) at the front that’s quickly overtaken by a firm citrus peel/grapefruit bitterness with some lightly sweet malts in the background. Clean finish with a very light fruit aftertaste. Very nice.

Tapat firkin fest 2014. Sweet barleywine like beer with lots of malt and lots of bitter hops. Good.

Aroma is a earthy and citrus hop character. Taste is a fairly sweet maltiness thst is dominated by hopiness that finishes pretty strongly. Body is semi cloudy gold with a fairly well retained head.

Mirror Pond Pale Ale bottle poured into pint glass. Has about 2 and a half fingers worth of a lingering head. The beers aroma is the nicest thing about this beer very complex smells kinda like very sweet tangerines. The appearance is very show worthy with it’s beautiful amber color and a good sized head that lingers. It also appears to be very well carbonated. The taste is definitely citrus with some bitter hints of chocolate and a chocolate finish. But the mouth-feel is kinda disappointing, it’s a little watery for my tastes so the Palate got a 3/5. Overall not bad 12/20. With a total score of 3.4 so above average. Again very nice smelling beer just a little disappointed with the mouthfeel.
