Aroma of hops, malt and a bit of nuts, good balance. Medium-bodied; Strong assertive hops up front with a good malt backbone. Aftertaste hoppy showing a mild alcohol kick near the end. Overall, a good APA throughout - definitely worth sampling! I sampled this beer on draught from Henry’s 12th St Tavern in Portland, Oregon on 09-September-2006. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 26, 2009 This beer was sort or a let down to me, I was expecting more hops, but on the other hand this is a good beer.
The bottles are not sold in texas yet, but the sales rep was able to get me one from his car that was quite cold.
The nose was great , the color was a nice clear golden ale.
The head was pretty big on it, lasted throughout the glass.
This reminded me of a mild hoppy bass english ale than an american pale ale. I could of used more hopps.
This beer is a nice beer, and it serves its niche, but I may not buy this again just not my style.

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 25, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy amber-brown with a decent beige head that slowly fades. Taste is of hops, malt, caramel and some grass. A little bitterness in the end. Caramel aroma. Rather thin. Worth a try, but that is it. mrbirmingham (37), Kansas, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Apr 25, 2009 Aroma: A complex but moderate aroma of floral notes, spices and caramel.
Appearance: The beer is copper color and has a slight haze. The head is tall off white and persistent.
Flavor: Balanced towards the malts with mild bitterness and caramel notes.
Mouth Feel: The beer has medium light body with some cloying.
Overall Impression: Very easy to drink, the first one went down in minutes. I enjoyed this beer a lot, but I would expect more hop flavors and balance more towards the hops in American Pale Ale. That said it is still a great beer.

Light aromas of light bread for the malt, herbs and pine for the hops, broth for the yeast, and a hint of pepper. Head is large, frothy, white, with excellent lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is slightly hazy amber/orange. Flavor starts moderately acidic, and finishes moderately bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery, with a lively carbonation. A good tasting American Pale Ale overall, just a little light on aroma and simple in flavor. msante79 (814), Orland Hills, Illinois, USA
