SudsMcDuff (1691), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA Jan 30, 2009 awesome hop aromas! cascades of cascades! ... it’s a dead mans party ... so clean, nice hop bite, great for a morning brew after a hard night of beer tasting .. pours the colour of marmalade .. great feeling in the teeth tongue department ... a nice pale ale .. nickd717 (1276), Palo Alto, California, USA Jan 29, 2009 Deschutes is becoming one of my 30 or so favorite breweries (man I am too into beer). This pale ale toes the India pale ale border enough that I almost want to outsource tech support work to it, but that’s a good thing to a hophead like myself. Amber color with little head. Nice Cascade hop aroma and flavor and decent caramel malt. Reminds me a little bit of Bridgeport IPA, except slightly different hop profile. Medium mouthfeel. Drinkable. CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA Jan 28, 2009 Crushed with Jakebra. Incredibly good pale ale. Perfect balance. Good hop and malt presence. Fun to drink. Plamadude30k (122), Tucson, Arizona, USA Jan 26, 2009 Continuing in my quest through the local store’s beer selection, I happened upon Mirror Pond Pale Ale. Eminently drinkable, I brought several bottles to a gathering of friends along with several other beers. This was by far the quickest to disappear and was appreciated by all, including people who usually don’t like beer. 502Flavors (617), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Jan 24, 2009 On tap at Father’s office in LA. Unique hop malt combination unlike anything I have ever really experienced. Good very sessionable stuff. Very unique. Try this if you see it. Kenbeer30 (41), Texas, USA Jan 22, 2009 12 oz bottle. I poured this beer into my favorite beer flute. It pours a bright copper with hints of sunshine. I was able to muster up a 1" head, but it faded fast, with nice lacing. The aroma is muted. Floral hops, but a long way off in the distance. It is interesting that this beer can have such a muted aroma, and deliver the great balanced taste. It is sweet malt in the front, The bitters hit the sides of the palate, and I love the cascade hops finish. Clearly this beer was brewed intentionally to have this great balance. This beer is bordering on great. Boutip (2334), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Jan 13, 2009 Bottle: Poured a bright copper color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma consists of medium citrus hops with a good caramel malt base. Taste is also a good mix between some caramel malt with some lightly citrus and bitter hops. Very refreshing with good carbonation. Very well done for the style. fredandboboflo (1395), East Setauket, New York, USA Jan 9, 2009 Bottle Aroma of pale malts, floral hops, citrus, doughy malt, yogurt mustiness, grass. Flavor hoppy up front with sweet malt and a nice lemon character. Resinous finish. Nice one.
