Nose is fruity and hoppy and floral. Taste is refreshing, smootha and a somewhat malty. A very drinkable pale ale that goes down easy and mild. Not bad. elihapa (1051), Honolulu, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 13, 2008 sampled on Maui, from bottle. Cascade hop scent and flavor. This is a nice session brew with medium sweetness and a mildly bitter hop finish, similar to Sierra Nevada’s Pale Ale. Could have used a little bolder flavor in the finish, but would have again. mar (1804), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 7, 2008 Special thanks to Gerald at the Fort Worth Central Market for hooking me up with a sample bottle of this! Pours an orange-amber color with a fluffy white head, slowly dissipating. Aroma is a little faint at first, but comes up a bit as it warms. Definitely floral and toasty, with a bit of orange juice. Big toasty flavor, a good amount of caramel, biscuits, just a wee bit of citrus and it finishes with a bitter toast nutty taste. Bitter aftertaste lingers a while and for once I don’t mind it. Pretty full bodied though ultimately still easily drinkable. Creamy texture. I enjoy this a lot, I love it when pale ales lean to the earthy side of things. Hope the Deschutes distribution to Texas follows through! 184601 (144), Mexicali, Mexico
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 2, 2008 Pours an abundant beige head, with a deep yet clear yellow/amber color, fantastic aroma very floral, and different hops there for sure, the flavor is quite good reminds me a lot of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, which is great. This one have a somewhat apple presence to me, very light bodied, yet with good ABV content, easy drinkability very nice with some red Enchiladas for dinner. Cheers!! | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 29, 2008 Pours bright hazy amber with a very thin bubbly head that dissipated almost immediately leaving absolutely no head or lacing. Smell of light, sweet malts with some citrus and floral hops. Tastes of subtle citrus hops, orange and some pine resin, with a sweet caramel malt flavor. Fairly crisp, sweet finish with little bitterness present at all. Mouthfeel is fairly light but smooth. This one certainly isn’t the most complex or daring APA, but I have to admit that I wouldn’t mind throwing a few of these back on this warm spring night. Very sessionable. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Apr 27, 2008 Aroma is fruity, floral and sweet. Appearance is hazy copper gold with a well maintained white head. Flavor is tangy, sour and harshly bitter. Mouthfeel is medium/low bodied with a moderate carb texture. Overall, not easy drinking, too harsh and never lives up to the aroma.
