Ok, I’m missing something here. This is a pleasant enough brew, but it’s rather boring, no? How’d it rack up an 83 percentile rating? Tastes biscuity with the lightest bit of honey and a grassy finish. Went well with the pasta I had for dinner, but nothing I’ll go looking for in the future.

Has a sweet fruity nose with some subtle resiny hops. Burnt orange with slight haze and medium pillowy head. Biscuity sweetness, with a solid bitter hop balance. Highly carbonated, felt just a touch thin, nice smooth finish. Excellent session beer.

kind of a mixed bag kind of beer. definitely need to let this one warm a bit before enjoying. initially, very light aroma with mild hop flavor that comes into better focus as it warms. light aftertaste of citrus/spice. just ok.

Mirror Pond Pale Ale has a light orange to coppery amber color with limited foam that quickly dissipates and next to no laciness. A clear color with decent carbonation. The smell is limited but basic malt is the only thing I notice. The taste is good flavor and slightly malty. Dominate at the start but then the hop flavor comes out soon after. A slight citrus flavor is present and follows the flow with mostly Cascade hops. For a basic APA with a slightly watery and the malt/hop mix is not quite there.

Sampled at RRBF 08. Beer is clear, light caramel brown. Head is small, white, frothy/creamy, mostly and quickly diminishing but mostly lasting.
The aroma is malty with light notes of toastedg rain, caramel biscuit; Hoppy with moderate notes of honeysuckle floral, light note of dried apricot; Yeasty with a trace of dough; Trace miscellaneous trace note of green apple, moderate note of honey mead.
The flavor is moderately sweet, moderately/heavily bitter, lightly acidic with a long, lingering, heavily bitter, lightly/moderately sweet finish. Blooming honeysuckle retro-nasals.
The body is medium, the texture is watery and the carbonation is fizzy.
Pleasingly aromatic, nice personality, well balanced, engaging. I think I could use this as a lever to get my friends peeled off of Fat Tire.

Draft @ Owl Club in Rosevile, CA. Pours orange with a bright white ring. Nose is light and oddly I get rye bread in the nose. Taste is sweet malty and there the rye comes back again, weird that the rye is there but it makes it more interesting.
