Beer had a very nice light hop aroma with some cirus fruits mixed in as well. Beer poured a light amber with a ruby hue. Nice dry finish. Charlzm (247), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 13, 2007 Bottled, consumed on 12/13/07. Crystal clear medium golden pour with very fine off-white head that lasted quite some time. Rich citrus and pine aroma with subtle notes of sweet... peppermint?? Can’t put my finger on it, but pleasing nonetheless. Smooth mouthfeel with a touch of that Bass Ale apple flavor. Fleeting sourness gives way to lightly bitter, smooth finish with no astringency. Very drinkable. cathcacr (588), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 8, 2007 On draft at the Corbett Fish House, 12/5. For a pale ale, it was quite good. Got me two 20 oz. pints of it. Slightly fruity aspect; I need to put this up against SNPA and see how hey compare.

[Tasted next to a Anderson Valley Poleeko Gold Pale Ale]
The Poleeko is much lighter in color, and citrusy sweet in flavor. The Mirror Pond has more malt backbone and a full bodied fruity flavor. fiulijn (7150), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 1, 2007 Bottle at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007 Cloudy amber color. Nice sweet hoppy aroma, resiny and fruity. There is some sweet toffeish flavor, but a bit dry mouthfeel. At least there is a good hopping, strong and a bit resiny and fruity (apricots). Pleasant. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 11, 2007 I’ve had this one so often I can’t believe I haven’t rated it yet. Pours a cloudy copper color with a nice white head. Strong aroma of flowers and hops. Flavor is, complete, bitter and hoppy. Finish is full and hearty with a very nice hoppy aftertaste. Pound for pound one of the best IPAs out there. Deschutes has yet to let me down.
