Light amber color with a thin white head. Fresh Cascade hop aroma with some fruity backgrounds. The bottle sample was actually quite bland compared to the tap serving. The tap serving had a nice balanced robust hop character that was most evident in the finish. Very drinkable when fresh. The bottle I had would’ve rated out at a 3.1. steview (901), Los Angeles, California, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 10, 2007 Pours a clear gold/orange with some head that leaves a good bit of lacing. Nose is hoppy and sweet. Taste is heavy with hops with a firm citric/sweet edge to it. Almost like a cross between a lemon and an orange. Feel is what you’d expect - has a little carbonation to it, and it feels good on the tongue. Extremely drinkable. BelgianBeerGal (1283), Sabbatical in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 4, 2007 bottled. Not much going on here. Slightly bitter but otherwise lacking in taste. Seemed "soapy" to me. lb4lb (2011), Austin, Texas, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 1, 2007 Caramel honey colored pour with a lasting creamy head. Smell is of an almost berry like hoppiness at first, but it fades into a light hoppy, almost metallic smell as it opens up. Taste is mildish hoppiness, with a sweet finish at first, and then after a few sips a hoppy light bitterness lingers in the aftertaste. Maybe it was just my tummy today, but this seemed fairly acidic after it went down. Not a bad pale ale at all, either way. There are more I like better, but I could still have this again. pintsize (1042), Austin, Texas, USA
