| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 29, 2007 Fresh piney aroma. Pours hazy golden orange with a small beige head. Mostly bitter hops, rather strong for an APA. The bitterness arrives as quickly as it leaves. It is accompanied by some mild biscuity malt. The mouthfeel is somewhat dry and resiny, and some residual sugars are left as well. Pretty drinkable stuff. Definitley a session ale. Tejas (695), Dallas, Texas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jun 27, 2007 Tons of good fresh hoppy aroma. Cloudy orangish color. Good dry hoppy palate. Has a spicy fresh hoppy flavor to it. It’s not Fresh Hop but it’s still really good. Another good solid beer from Deschutes. Sierra Nevada should take a lesson from them on how to brew a PA. roder60 (1020), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 19, 2007 12oz bottle, best by 07/03/07, thanks to (alohaC) Christian. Pours a hazy medium orange with one finger beige head, fading to a thin film after a couple mins. Aroma of moderate citrusy hops with a little bit of pine, and some caramel malts. Flavor is again pretty citrusy with a nice caramel backbone. Low bitterness (3 out of 10). Moderate soft carbonation with a light to medium body. When I compare this to Alpha King, my highest rated APA, this doesn’t come close. But as a standard APA, this is solid. badlizard (2338), Berkeley, California, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 14, 2007 Bottle via jake65 - thanks, Jake! Cascade aroma with a lot of caramel and light yeasty notes, some toffee very faintly underneath the dust. Pours a gentle hazy orange with a soapy, rocky beige head. Lightly bitter and lightly sweet with tons of caramel and biscuit. Funky hop taste. Great hop-malt balance. Medium body, hoppy and slightly dry aftertaste. Mild, well-made, pleasant, lightly woody and extremely drinkable. Excellent session!
