Aroma of malt and a vaguely citric touch. Medium body with fairly sweet malt and a very subdued bitterness. Very smooth mouthfeel. An accessible APA with more focus on malt rather than hops. 230307 troopie (863), USA

Smells of hops and earth. Tastes great with moderate hops and great malt balance. I could drink this all night. Perfect session beer. Nothing out of the ordinary but very well executed. talon1117 (620), Bellvue, Colorado, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 4, 2007 Pours a hazy, bronze color with a fairly small, white, pillowy head; decent longevity and lacing which is quite abundant. Nose is pleasant and simple; hops are floral and slightly grassy with malts of buttery, cookie. Flavor is just as expected with similar flavors as the nose; malts are light in character with light cookie and still the buttery notes. Hops are dominant but never overpowering giving a moderate bitterness with flavors of floral and light citrus zest. Plalate is medium, lively, and crisp. Finishes quickly and refreshing while being mostly bitter with some notes of herbal filtering in. Simple, solid, and suitable for the spring or early fall months; nothing to make it great but no complaints either. rmussman (905), California, USA

Appearance is dark brown with a limited head. Mouthfeel is smooth but with a little bitterness. Flavor is great with a malty taste. Worth a try. Angeloregon (2025), Portland, Oregon, USA

Then, and only then will you be able to appreciate the bounty that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. This is one of the ultimate session beers. Drinkable year round. Taste it again for the first time!
