gws57 (1131), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA Oct 15, 2006 Got this one bottled from my father-in-law out west. Very nice APA. Detectable cascade hops in the rosy nose and throughout, characteristicly bitter. Very nice finish. Good. bitterpeanut (15), Portland, Oregon, USA Oct 12, 2006 Great hop aroma and bitterness. A bit a diacetyl in the good way. One of my favorite Amerian Ple Ales out there. DYCSoccer17 (2187), Davis, California, USA Oct 7, 2006 6 pack purchased from Nugget in Davis, CA. $4.99, hell of a deal. Plenty of piney, grapefruity PNW hoppiness present in the nose. A bit floral. Nice, hoppy aroma. Virtually transparent honey-colored body, with a large, frothy off-white head that leaves attractive lacing. Needs to be just a bit darker. Juicy, slightly hempy, slightly piney hoppiness to start. Toasted, cereal, biscuity maltiness is present in the middle. Finishes with a juicy, non-overbearing hoppiness. Lightly pine-like and a bit of floral flavoring is also present. This is a really nice, flavorful APA. A great session beer. Naven (864), Poway, California, USA Oct 5, 2006 12 oz bottle purchased at VONS Grocery. ($6.99 six pack). Pretty standard color for a APA, with a small head. This stuff smells very fresh and tasty. Taste is hoppy, yet very smooth. Overall, very good. This is something I can drink all day and still keep my wits about me. It’s been kind of nice taking a break from the IIPA’s lately. For awhile there, I was waking up in my bed with all my clothes on way too often. DrBayern (1135), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA Oct 5, 2006 12 oz. bottle courtesy of Ross. Clear gold, medium white head and good durability. Grainy aroma with floral and citrus hints/. Medium body, perhaps a little thin, very lightly carbonated. Light malty sweetnes with a nice balance of citrus peel bitterness. Understated in most respects, although I don’t say that in a disparaging way. It’s just a more subtle APA than many. Drinakble, thirst quenching, and pleasant. MIBRomeo (1962), Wisconsin, USA Oct 3, 2006 straw color thick off white head well laced. Citrus hop aroma (cascades) some grass and a light maltiness. Avg palate. Flavor is simple light dry grass notes some flower pedlas and a very small malt. Perfect session APA, very light and easy to drink. joergen (8430), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 1, 2006 Bottle at Stockholm Beerfestival.
