Dickinsonbeer (3434), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Sep 19, 2006 12 oz bottle from Kenb just because he wanted to send me some beer- after AIC screwed me over. Pours a nice slight hazy medium gold and a frothy white head. Aroma is citrusy lemon with some light grapfruit and light malt. Nice sticky hop flavor with some more light toasted malts. Finish is nice and crisp with a dry bitterness in the end. Really nice well made APA. yalnikim (776), Wellington, New Zealand Sep 13, 2006 Tasted 13/09/2006. 12oz bottle from BrewNZ.
Almost bright, copper, with a brief and airy white head. Big caramel malt aroma jumps out at first, then becomes very subdued beneath the low-key orange, spruce and mineral yeast notes. Good malt presence up front, quite sweet, with toffee and fruity hops in the middle. Then there’s a big bitterness on exit and a huge lingering grapefruit hop flavour. Huge... becomes a little medicinal unfortunately. Medium weight, light-medium carbonation. Certainly one for the hopheads. Good one, maybe a little tired. WISEGUY572 (1244), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 12, 2006 This was far more hoppy than I expected from an American pale, more like a west coast IPA. Great pine and citrus hops with a long bitter finish. Cloudy unfiltered amber to orange with a small head. Sweet malts, hops, and a long hop finish. Better than I expected. hopscotch (5439), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Sep 12, 2006 Bottle... NTB Ernesto Festo ’06... Hazy golden ale with orange highlights and a small, fizzy, white head. The aroma is very "West Coast"... floral and fruity with plenty of grapefruit and pine. Sturdy malt and sturdy hops result in a well-balanced flavor. Medium-bodied and silky with lively carbonation. Mid-length, evenly bitter finish. A shout goes out to kenb for providing this bottle! bager (2121), Copenhagen N, Denmark Sep 10, 2006 Bottled. Dark golden in colour with a rather large head. Wellbalanced and round. Malty and hoppy with a nice dryness. Hints of fruits and spices. ohnoitskristin (62), Santa Cruz, California, USA Sep 3, 2006 12 oz bottle. Very sweet, aromatic smell that runs over into the taste. Lots of activity and hops is the overlaying flavor. Medium body with a crisp finish on the palate. Overall a nice beer to kick-back and enjoy. beerabill (14), Silverdale, Washington, USA Sep 2, 2006 Bottle. Floral aroma. Taste is hops creamy fruit candy. Good head that slowly settles. Good lacing.
