GMP (16), USA Jul 5, 2005 The best of the oregon pale ales, light, clear, crisp and well balanced.
A great afternoon beer. spnkyoumuch (24), Seattle, Washington, USA Jun 28, 2005 This one is deeelish and a very smooth, balanced customer. Great on tap as well as bottled. As an APA fan, I love it! Retains worth at full price. Deschutes has a clue! Vac (2389), San Diego, California, USA Jun 28, 2005 Pours with a golden amber body topped by a thick lasting head with a good amount of lacing. The aroma is slighlty sweet and malty but hoppy with nice grapefruit and pine notes. The flavor is bitter and hoppy with a note of pepper and a touch of grapefruit with an underlying sweet maltiness. Medium bodied, smooth and dry. howie (549), DeForest, Wisconsin, USA Jun 24, 2005 Updated: Jun 28, 2005Simple, but well-balanced APA. Solid flavor hopping and quite dry. Light bodied. Strykzone (1459), Wood River, Illinois, USA Jun 23, 2005 Beautiful beer that might be describes as copperish in color. Very nice foam that lasted a bit. Aroma was difficult to get a handle on. Definite hints of grapefruit with an earthyness to it. This is not one of my favorite styles due to the tartness. This beer has only hints of tart with a very nice balance and substance. My favorite of the stye! Slight bitterness that lasted a little too long but overall a wonderful beer. mjg74 (1995), La Mesa, California, USA Jun 16, 2005 Pours a light reddish/orange color. Aroma is quite bitter. A hint of lemon peel. Some malt and a little sweetness as well. Strong grapefruit bitterness right up front. Not alot of follow through. Drinkable but not outstanding. adamnfineman (53), Springfield, Oregon, USA Jun 7, 2005 Tap and 12 oz. bottle. A beautiful amber appearance, with a cloudy look that is just beautiful. A sweet beer with only light bitterness and sourness, but a strong hop flavor that is a welcome shot to your tongue. It finishes well, with those same hops lingering on your tongue. A great lunchtime beer and simply a great beer overall. Zinister (1199), Houston, Texas, USA May 22, 2005 Nice copper pour....medium bodied. Floral notes, with pine mixed in for a nice nose. Smooth with a bit of a bitter finish. Pretty solid pale ale.
