jackbocracken (36), Washington, USA May 20, 2005 Pretty good. Tastes very floral, almost tea-like. Hoppy, but not in a super aggressive manner. I like it. RkyMtnLove (5), Golden, Colorado, USA does not count May 10, 2005 Poured from bottle. A very hoppy beer - almost overwhelming at times - that was nothing special. The body is very mild, and the carbonation was high, making an unwanted interaction with the hops. Still, some very good organic flavors of the forest came through. Average pale ale, nothing to write home about. asheft (1374), Marburg, Germany May 5, 2005 Hazy copper with a white head that disappeared to nothing. Pine and caramel aroma that seemed a bit salty. Pine/citrus and caramel flavour that had apple and banana notes. Light to medium body with average carbonation. A pretty run of the mill pale ale. MadMan (497), Tempe, Arizona, USA May 3, 2005 From notes taken at the Southwest Beer Festival in Scottsdale, Arizona. The conditions were hard to take notes in but these are the ratings and they stand. Draft. Clear amber gold. Aroma is hoppy. Flavor is malty and decently hoppy. Not much bitterness. Light. Fizzy. Okay. jigglyjock (159), Seattle, Washington, USA Apr 29, 2005 Updated: Aug 25, 2007Subtle aroma of citrus, malt, and hops. Has a nice dark orange colored body. Has a flowery banquette added to the citrus hops, malt, and ester flavor. Kind of tastes like my IPA home-brew which has a cleaning solution astringency back drop. An ok pale ale, that I keep on going back to. fuzzywasabeer (28), boise, Idaho, USA Apr 22, 2005 One of the best commercial pale ales in the area, pours amber with little head, blackberry hops aroma, starts smooth ends slightly bitter, pretty good balance. the more mirror pond trucks I see driving around the worse it tastes. mobrew (19), Oregon, USA Apr 16, 2005 Another GREAT beverage from Deschutes, the appearance is great along with the aroma from the Cascades, hell you can’t get to many of those, can you? Great flavor, very enjoyable beer. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA Apr 14, 2005 Clear peach color with nice off tan head when poured into a tulip. Hardly any aromas. Taste is mellow citrus, apricot with a nice malty back. Slightly sweet but somehow also crisp. Nice and hoppy without being over the top. Really well balanced.
